Does anyone know how to master a good recording in realband. My mixes are great but sound bad on non-pro gear, like computer speakers. Commercial recordings somehow avercome this obstacle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mastering is a difficult subject and you are in for some more recommendations to do some reading. Keep in mind that there are professional audio engineers who do only mastering for a living, to get the great sound against which you might be comparing your recordings. That said, here is a link to a product that can help someone in a home studio get better results. The software is called Ozone. Look on this page for a PDF file you can download called Mastering With Ozone. I use Ozone, but even if you don't buy Ozone, the guide is useful. All you have to do is read pages 3 through 6 and you should get a good idea of the importance of this subject. http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/ozone/support.asp

Better yet, download a free trial and check Ozone out.
It might do what you desire for the job. Depends on what you are after.. it's capable enough to provide some pro results. Knowing how to use it is important, but it does come with a lot of presets and you may find some servicable ones to get you started.

I have a copy of Ray Thigpen's tutorial on RealBand mixing and mastering. I don't think Ray is with us anymore but I would be happy to post it. Can someone give me a way to make it available on this forum?

If you don't host your own website and server in order to upload images, files, videos and post links in forums, I found this site/sevice to be excellent for doing just that. Free and easy. You can upload and then obtain a URL to whatever you place there to post in the forum.
You do have to register with an email account but that is all. this is really a good service site.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
