I am going to leave a 5 star review on Amazon for BiaB a little later today. If you all can go and write a 5 star review that would be nice. And for sure give it 5 stars as it deserves not 4 or anything. Because for some reason there are some reviews that are negative. Obviously these are from some clowns that don't have the cognizance for BiaB. Never bought all the Real Tracks to truly make the program great. They have little complaints basically blowing smoke of their idiocy. Complaining about dialog boxes and stupid things. How stupid. I like how this program functions. It does the job which it was intended to do. It is a tool to get the job done. I say keep it how it is. What is wrong with boxes popping up? I am not sure what these people are complaining about. Myself I hope they keep it looking old school. I want to learn this program and be good at using it. I don't want next year it changes completely where all that I have learned goes out with the bath water. I am sure many of you that got into BiaB years back are happy that they have added many features. But at the same time do not change it to where the functionality that you have already learned is gone.

So go give BiaB 5 stars and praise it for all it's great attributes. We need to counter the jealous and low minded. Likely some competitor that knows BiaB is leading them all. Yes there are nice positive reviews there but there were a few dummies putting a wrench in the good review works. Certainly they had no merit at all. So go leave a great review now. Even if you didn't buy it on Amazon. You don't have to have bought it there to leave a review. So Leave 5 stars even if you think they only deserve 4 for some reason. To help compensate for the fools please.

Amazon reviewers are, well, Amazon reviewers.

Have at it if you will, I'm gonna be workin' up songfiles with the new release.

YOUR time is likely better spent learnin' how to work up songfiles yourself, man.

Yes I do have BiaB installed. Turns out there the package at the post office wasn't my BiaB hard drive but an old High School Year Book I ordered for my Uncle. So it was a false alarm.

No Mac or the other person that commented. I forget your name, I will put my review in on Band in a Box on Amazon because I have the extra few minutes it might take to write my review. That way my view on this program is heard. I do like putting my vote in. You might not like to vote. But yes good idea work on some song files. But I will wait to get into it when I have my RealTracks so I really can appreciate it.

Right now I am going to rehearse a set of Christmas songs. I have a show to perform on December 22 at I think 6pm I will have to check on the time again...it is at the Riverside Cafe in Second Life the virtual world. So if I am going to sound anything like Bing Crosby, Dean Martin and the rest of them I need to polish these songs up WOW!! But I am singing as Jerry Angel at that show not Sly Ruby. Though maybe I should just start singing as Sly Ruby at these places.

So first I will go right my 5 star review on Amazon. Beating back the jealous and silly minds!!

Sly

PS: Thanks for asking Finely. I guess you just want to know so you keep me busy on it ha? lol...Just checked out Brazilian Wish on Amazon to see if it was there. Sounds good. Hey let me know when BiaB will have some Matt Finely tracks!! I will put you in a song or two!!

Thanks! Yes, at least when I set it up, I had to be on Amazon to get onto Pandora.

I'm thinking about making some flugelhorn jazz solo tracks. Maybe some alto flute backgrounds for vocals, too.

Good for you, Sly! It is no secret that products rated well on Amazon generate better sales, which ultimately means a better bottom line for PGMusic. That in turn means a better product for all of us for years to come. I think I will take your advice. I would give BIAB 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

Hello Sly,

Good to see you love biab too. Its a compliment when Peter Gannon PGmusic boss, the genius inventor and innovator of band in a box replies to your post.

Good to see you like Second life, another website you might check out is streetjelly, a big thread about it on the off-topic forum, you can perform live on webcam.

Enjoy your new musical journey with biab Sly.

Great Axey, thanks for the site name. Looks pretty good. Though my concept is virtual bands and virtual artist. Like the Gorillaz. On wiki it says they are a musical and visual project. A Virtual Band. The group is very popular. So my concept is the same. I am starting my own musical projects. I have Sly Ruby wich will just be considered a virtual singer. Sly will sing Jazz. The Great American songbook. It is a project to enjoy. And a virtual group I call frychester. I plan on producing some Bossa Nova style tunes with that virtual goup. I want to try and make it sound like Sinatra did when I collaborated with Antonio Carlos Jobim. I am the singer for these projects. And BiaB will help me accomplish it. I have written many songs in the past. But it was country. So with BiaB I can do a lot more and write and sing the style of songs I like to listen to I hope. I dropped country a long time ago. Though I think I will work on producing my collection of country songs I wrote 20 years ago also with BiaB. I might as well. I will just emulate Merle Haggard I think. Someone like him. And I think produce another virtual artist called Jerry Angel. Anyway with producing virtual music projects you can do whatever you want to do. You don't have to hassle with touring. You can be old as the hills and if your voice sounds young enough your virtual character can be still youthful. Not balding, not looking weathered and all that lol. Looking like a million bucks! WOW! In other words BiaB will give me some great projects. Will I be rich and famous? I doubt it. But I may sell a few albums worldwide. I don't care I sell 100 albums in 5 years. It doesn't bother me. I am still a success. If I sell an album to a lovely Japanese girl and then she writes me and gives me high praise and she is my fan then I am successful. I will use MondoTunes for online distribution. Check into that. About 40 dollars per album I think. And it goes in over 750 online stores worldwide. At any rate lets all have some fun with BiaB. Have good times. Don't let anyone rain on our BiaB parade! EVER!!!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
