I'm new to BIAB so I'm probably missing something but ... If I create a song in BIAB and then open it in real tracks, the drums don't sync with the piano and bass. I used a style called DrJon shuffle blues at a tempo of 140. Sounds good in BIAB. If I mute the drum track and generate a different drum track the same thing happens. Both of the drum tracks are in sync but not to the piano/bass. I get the same kind of thing if I start in real tracks and generate the tracks which are then all in sync but then use the generate midi track. The midi track is out of sync. What am I missing?

Might be latency timing settings and use of a softsynth.
Check out Preferences -> MIDI -> Output devices area for latency settings.
You will likely have to experiment with the right number to enter to get things to line up.

Another thing to try- make sure the tempo in Realband is still whatever it was in BiaB. This is very important for tracks that start at different times, or if using midi and audio. If it was 140 in BiaB make sure its 140 in RB.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Thanks. I found that by converting the MIDI piano track to an audio track it synched up. So maybe it is the MIDI settings. I'll try that too.

I have the same problem. what sounds good in BIAB sounds terrible when opened up in real band. I've given up and now make each track a WAV file then import it to RB. It's a bit of a pain though when you want to make a change to say the chord progression, you have to go back to BIAB to make the change and go through the whole process again. Plus you can't add additional real tracks once in RB doing it this way unless you enter in the chord progression again.

I tried the suggestion of Mac and it worked. There's a test pattern that load with a MIDI note nad a real note and you can adjust on the fly until they sync up. That worked. Thanks Mac.

Just a followup for Andy T .. If I understand what you do is to create a wave file in BIAB and then bring that into RB. What I did was a little different. I brought the BIAB file into RB so it brings in the chords, etc. Then I picked a midi track like piano and there is an option to convert that to audio track. Once I did that the audio track lined up with the drums. But the solution from Mac also worked to get the midi and audio tracks aligned. But now I have the issue of a midi track not generating the full 2 bar ending. Just the 1st bar of the 2 bar ending. The real drums do complete the ending.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
