in other words, what's the most time efficient way to get a song structure/chords into a BIAB file? are there sites that offer downloadable files that you can import and play along with?

Go here and several thousand standards in BIAB format await you. I love to play along with these tunes.

The macintosh will let you view the ascii representative of files that are meant for downloading.

What you need to do is Save the file to disk rather than view it.

Command-Click on that hotlink instead to bring up the Downloader.

Mac is close - the problem is that Allanah's files are in WinRAR format, with a .rar extension. Unassisted, Safari doesn't recognise these as downloadable (as opposed to displayable) files. To force a file to download, it's OPTION-click (not command-click). You'll still end up with a .rar file but any reasonably new version of Stuffit Expander can deal with this.

Hi Stephanie,

I have got a programm called „UnRarX“, I don't know from whom I got it. May be I got it there: http://unrarx.softonic.de/mac. This programm will decompress the downloaded file („bba.rar“ for example) automatically. Please remember to download the Biab-rar-files in an extra „Ordner“ (I don‘t know the English word); otherwise you get hundreds of files in the place the rar-file was downloaded first, when you open it by a double-click.

(Pleas apoligize my bad school-English.)

Hi Stephanie,

the correct address is: http://unrarx.softonic.de/mac

(without that point „.“ at the end.

To add further if you have a program like winzip you can right click on your mouse for instance the "a" list on songs. Then chose "save link as". Then you can just chose which songs you want to decompress in winzip. That way you don't have to decompress the whole file.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
