I currently have BIAB 2021 UltraPak and really loving it. There is now an upgrade to 2022 UltraPak offered for $149 until 12/31/21, with a free Bonus Pak. I'm looking for opinions if this a worthwhile purchase. Also if the Bonus Pak is the same as the 49 Pak. Thanks and I look forward to hearing anyone's thoughts.

2023 BIAB Ultrapak, Reaper, EZDrummer 2 & 3, Roland VS-2480, Tascam 38 Reel to Reel 8-Track
There are two Bonus PAKs, the 0 Bonus PAK and the 49 Bonus PAK. While the sale is in place, the 0 Bonus PAK is included with the purchase. The 49 Bonus PAK costs $49 US extra.
When you have the 2021 Plus PAK then the $99 +++ Plus PAK +++ gives you all the new for 2022 package content.

HeyJim! Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I totally understand, but it seems like you're saying that as I own the 2020 UltaPak, I should just buy the PlusPak for 99, and it will give me everything I would get with getting the 2022 UltaPak upgrade for 149, the free bonus Pak plus buying the 49 Bonus PAk for 49? Is that right?

I still don't understand how much BIAB contains All I know is that the real orbit is 1-400 Then there's Xtra styles Pak 1-12 XPro Styles PAK1,XPro Styles PAK2 What other packages do you have? I don't know I wonder if there is a simple list

In BiaB, select Help > What Addons Do I have, and it will show you what you have and what you don't have.
BIAB & RB2024 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones

I saw it. But don't official or unofficial have a simple list It can be seen that BIAB has accumulated for so many years. I think the website is always included in realtrack, and then included in 49pak. I'm confused ha-ha
PlusPAK = $99 (New for 2022 package content) 0 BonusPAK = $0 (Additional content not in any package) 49PAK = $49 (Additional content not in any package)
Windows 10 (64bit) M-Audio Fast Track Pro, Band in a Box 2024, Cubase 13, Cakewalk and far too many VST plugins that I probably don't need or will ever use
I upgraded from 2021 to 2022 and I was not happy and requested a refund. For $149 I think I should have received more. I really hate the way they do their PAK's. I end up just liking 1 or 2 styles. Just my opinion and nothing against any Jazz lover but PG Music is very heavy with these styles. You purchase a PAk for $79 which in my opinion very highly priced and you get 10% of styles you can realy use. Just my opinion. Right now I will stick with 2021 and the styles I have.

Not going to disagree with your opinion Steve, but this years upgrade has been viewed by most as a major upgrade to biab, especially the Mircro-chords features, not to mention the re-designed Multi-Riffs etc.
For $99 you could have got all that and more, but its your choice at end of the day.

Should you want the new features, there is the program only upgrade.
One point to consider, the program only upgrade is generally only available during a new release sale.
The irony here is that whatever genre you like, you will probably think there was too much development in genres other than yours. BIAB started with jazz, but it's been quite awhile since that was the main focus. This year was more emphasis on blues than usual.
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors

I agree 100% about the micro chords and the Multi-Riffs but $149 after I spent $299 upgrading to 2021 is kind of ridicious. I think the PAKS are very confusing and I don't use 75% of the styles that come in that PAK. I wish they would just come out with 100% ROCk PAKS that are affordable. They should follow the way Toontrack and IK Multimedia does it. I was forced to purchase the ULTRA PAK and I will never use 75% of those styles. It should not be like that. That's all I am saying.
you can buy xtra styles by genre cheaper but that's an expensive way of buying them if you want two sets - say country and rock and pop. its cheaper to buy the lot rather than just two genres

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
