Here's one for every-one who has had it with bad customer service by big corporations, endless phone-calls with help-desks and going trough computer-voiced menus without ever seeing result.

This Belgian television crew beats them at their own game...

(There IS some-one playing a keyboard in there, so I guess it has a musical link )

Funny . . . would have been even funnier if they had gotten to an exe with the phone company.

I'm breaking my rule and posting in a non-music-related thread: This was wonderful - a must watch. Subtle and powerful.

Oh yes - and my CD has been heard by people on hold with Cablevision!

Outstanding

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

I wish the TV crew at the very end of their broadcast,
would have said something like:

"We have modelled our Call Center and telephone support system
after the excellent example of Mobistar. You continue to be
an example of superlative service. We hope our Support Group
has been as effective and efficient as yours!"

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That clip is most opportune and timely for frustration and time wasting and poor service we have been experiencing with our carrier "telus.net"
Last fall we were convinced by telus to roll our tv (shaw cable) in with our phone/internet service. It was one of the worst decisions we could have made. From the get go we experienced faulty remote controllers, loss of subscribed programs, and pixalating. Now we are experiencing the tv going black (probably modem failure even though it is cool to touch), I can't skype due to band width loss. Just like the movie we wait up to 50 minutes for customer service to come on the line. The CS is somewhere in the Phillipines or India and can't help up us but tries to upsell us to more tv programs! We recently had a tech finally make a house call and understands the problem. He was to get back to us within two days, still haven't heard from him. Oh!, they tell you he may come around in the next week so don't leave your home in case you miss him!!!
Now this part is interesting--my partner was a service rep for telus and actually did the training. So even her with her inside knowledge of the system is *****. I just took a look outside and I don't see a container so unfortunately we are not part of a candid camera stunt. Just very very very poor service. Once again thanks for the clip because it was so timely and we needed a laugh over this. DennisD

Sorry to be the dissenting voice but this is just not that funny.

The security guys have a demanding and tiring job to do which would be the same whatever the company they were working for.

These idiots are deliberately making life difficult for a department which is wholly unrelated to their intended target.

And all to be 15-minute starts on YouTube

If you want to get back at someone, waste Customer Relations' time.

Matthieu shows admirable restraint and acts very professionally throughout in the most trying of circumstances.

If that is "the most trying of circumstances" - then Matthew should rethink that security job, eh?

He had the option to call the law, he even brought it up, but he did not do so.

I would have, because if that box was truly blocking traffic access - what if there had been a real emergency take place at the time, such as a fire, etc. ?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
