For those who care to tune in, Lollapalooza is live on youtube.

www.youtube.com/lollapalooza

The band on now is a duo. Guitar and drums. The guitar player has this amazingly weird guitar with only the bottom three strings, a headstock with only the three tuning pegs, and a half sized humbucker that is 3 strings wide with three pole pieces.

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

1. How much did you make in 2023?

It was pretty strange. The band is Jeff The Brotherhood out of Nashville. The instrument appears to be tuned E-B-E, and every song was in the same key (E). He did a lot with effects, echo, flanging.... open bottom E at all times. They sounded a lot like The Black Keys (who I STILL don't get, BTW) and in fact their album was produced by Dan Auerbach.

At the moment they are in a weather delay at Lollapalooza.

Well, consider Keith Richards' infamous five-string tele with the G tuning...

Okay, as in the other thread, step one is to try another browser. You have Internet Explorer already, and you also have Chrome or Opera to pick from. If that one works, then you know it is not your hardware. Step 2, uninstall Firefox. Step 3, test that second browser again to make sure it didn't pull out any kind of association to the hardware with it. Step 4, reinstall Firefox. It's very important that you don't just install Firefox over itself. Remove it and reinstall.

Could just as easily be YouTube's fault.

When I use IE8 with all updates and go to YouTube, it has consistently been giving a warning that my browser is IE 5 and that I'd better upgrade for they are about to terminate support for it.

otay

Dancing Rooster: Check your IE Tools and see if it hasn't defaulted to not allowing Active X to run. Yes, I know. But I do remember a customer's machine in which they were trying to use FireFox, same problem, when I finally opened IE, which was also installed, and turned Active X on, after a reboot FireFox started running YouTube again, go figure.

Funny thing that he would not be getting an error message about the browser or the active x plugin. I would also like to see him try plugging in headphones. I doubt that he will hear sound through phones but that eliminates hardware.

I believe it's a supporting plugin problem. I still get an error in Chrome sometimes that says I don't have a plugin, follow the link THEY give me, install, reboot, and get the same error.

Watched The Red Hot Chili Peppers as the closing act last night. Man, Flea is SUCH a great bass player.... so fluid, yet strong, mean and dirty when it calls for it. Very much reminds me of The Ox.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
