I am still brand new to bb, but I still hate to admit I have spent hours trying to get a correct loop of "Chameleon" by Herbie Hancock after using ACW. I thought I might go jam with friends tomorrow night and could not think of anything easier than that. I thought it would take me ten minutes including burn time on a CD.

I cannot get the loop to start on measure one, end on measure 69, and repeat forever. Anyone got a copy of "bb for Dummies" in their library?

Thanks, I mean it.

Carl

Not understanding what you're trying to do ...

The ACW will figure chords from mp3 or wav.
Be sure to set bar one on first beat.

If you want to repeat a section in the BIAB window,
highlight the first through last bar, then click loop.

In your case click in bar 1 ... hold down shift and click in bar 69 ... click on loop.

More experienced users will come along soon.

I wouldn't mess with trying to Loop it as audio.

I'd use the Song Loop command instead, which makes the autoaccompaniment created with the chords repeat or Loop.

Just click on the little box the right of the Song Title window and check the "Loop" to true.

The songfile will play from start to finish, then start over again with a countin and continue to play over and oover again like that until such time as you hit Stop.

If you are jamming and don't want to wait for the new countin at every reloop, use the number box to the right of he songtitle slot to change the number of repeats before the song will end, you can set it to the maximum value available there, should be plenty enough repeats for any jam session.

Thank you all for your help. Your words of wisdom have helped me see the error of my ways. I was off track again in my thinking. I bet I will get it done in a hurry tonight.

Thanks.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
