Can't see my CPU meter. Any idea how to view it. I have the latest version.

Marty, if the screen resolution width is too low, the CPU window is probably off the RHS of the screen
Here are two examples, showing what you see with different screen resolutions. Could this be related to your issue?

Thanks. 1440 is as high as it goes, but still not showing. Any other options?

You can also hit ctrl-alt-del and bring up the Windows CPU monitor, which should place a tiny icon on your taskbar next to the clock. Very handy. Always there. Gives a VU meter-like view at all times, hover the mouse over it to read the actual percentage if desired.

I've always ahd a hunch that the RealBand indicator was likely just using that Windows monitor in the background anyway, but displaying the report inside the RealBand program. My reasoning is that the two have always reported identical percentages and such here.

Thanks Video Track for showing me this little hint.

Being very new to BIAB and RB (I just got off the newbie status); I didn't realize that I wasn't seeing the whole screen when in RealBand. I am using 1280x980 and although I have two separate monitors I was only using one monitor to show the RealBand GUI.

Now when I stretch the GUI across the two monitors I can see the complete picture and the other icons, etc. that I was missing. (I know, I know a real newbie mistake, but I am learning)

Thanks again!

I agree with Mac that the CPU load is probably coming from a Windows value. Mine are not identical, but definitely similar.

Tip: You can also bring up the Windows Task manager by right-clicking on the task bar.

However, the bottom line is that the User Interface needs attention, as I don't believe that some of those items can be displayed if your screen resolution is less than a certain value. Floating Dockable controls would be one solution, Microsoft Ribbon Controls would be another.

All you need is the little active icon that Taskmanager places in the Toolbar. Minimize the rest and done.

Somehow did not read thorough enough.
My comments were already covered.

But "Have Fun".

I think the RightClick on Taskbar can bring up the Task Manager in any Windoze system from XP forward.

Thanks guys. That's a big help. I wish there was a way to move icons in the GUI and remove/replace until I have what I use. Wouldn't older versions allow that?

I had trouble earlier, but since I got your help I noticed that the CPU usage is 100% when RB boots up and I load a song. If I wait until it drops (about 2 minutes) everything works fine. I now found the problem. It's my patience!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
