One request I have which shouldn't be too difficult is for a series of styles featuring real piano using a straight no-nonsense LH & RH vamp.
Most styles I can adapt for my needs except the 6/8 All there is is the Irish 6/8 which just doesn't suit our energetic music. A straightforward bass / chord vamp would be most welcomed. If anyone would like to know more info, please let me know and I can send you some mp3 demos.

After hearing one of G's. friends wail on (I think it was) fiddle over piano like this, I have seen comping in a whole new light. This would be great for truly basic song demos, too, the way I understand A&R people like to hear them. I am sure there are other uses as well. I second the notion [sic].

The real beauty of a straight vamp is that it needs little work to include in a style. All I ask is for a straight 6 / 8 left & right hand vamp with no fancy bits

I think you'd better post or point to an example, Graham.
Just saying, "vamp" means many different things to different piano stylists.
Show example or two of exactly what it is that you want the piano to "vamp".

Open up band in a box. Select the style two beat. Mute all but piano. That'll give you an idea of what I'm after, especially
for the 6/8 fast tempo.

Until we get some pgmusic styles for that, you could use the Hybrid Style Wizard to quickly turn that 2 beat into just piano for use in songs. Be sure to save under a new name so you don't overwrite the original style.
