Hi everyone,

Here is my first song recorded with the PG Music tools (BiaB and RB). Sorry for the french, it's my language wink

L'Oiseau Blanc

The lyrics are about the plane that could have fallen into the sea in 1927, very near St-Pierre and Miquelon (french archipelago close Newfoundland CA). Flying "L'Oiseau Blanc" (the white bird), Nungesser and Coli was the two adventurers who have tried to cross the Atlantic just before Lindbergh, but from Paris to North-America.

Nellie (not Nelly as wrongly written some days ago) is a third character, from my imagination.

The basic style is _CLTREEL (celtic reel) so :
1162 : Accoustic Bass (Trev. Hutchinson)
1164 : Guitar Celtic Rhytm. (Quinn Bachand)
RDrum : Bodhram (Quinn Bachand)

And I have added:
426 : Banjo bluegrass (Scott Vestal)
1880: Guitar Resonator (Train Rob)

Bluegrass instruments fit very well the celtic style, what gives me realizing how it is the irish migrants who have invented the bluegrass music.

Regards
Pascal

Hi Pascal, I enjoyed listening to your song. The instruments that you chose work well together and I like the sound. You have a very good voice as well. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Salut Pascal !
Ta chanson me plaît beaucoup.

ROG.

Hello Pascal,

This is a very nice French song, not too many on this forum.
Well sung and a very good choice of Realtracks.

Thank you very much every one, what an "élan" of kind words !
I am also open to any constructive criticism. Don't hesitate.

- David, I think about adding here my lyrics in french.

Didn't have the time to listen to all your achievements, but I am going to do it progressively (never enough time with 24 hours a day mad )

Below, my lyrics as promised :

Refrain x 2

fun! i def am looking forword to playing around with some of the celtic realtstyles. i came from loop based music (and technically realstyles kinda uses that as well in a way) but celtic royatly free multitrack/looped samples is often one thing very hard to come by. so its nice to have a set of that for realstyles/realtracks :-)

Pascal

A great arrangement for sure.

The harmonies fitted so well, and the Bodhram slotted in perfectly.

Very enjoyable.

Pascal,

This slipped past me first time around. I'm glad that Evenios brought it back. I really like this a lot. You have a knack for creating great melodies that invite the listener to hum along. I don't understand the words but I loved the sound of them and the way they flowed. Your whole presentation is first class!

Very, very entertaining!

All the best,
Noel

Hey, thanks a lot for all these last congratulations !

I have no so much experience Pat, but over all, the miracle comes from BiaB. Of course I make the air, lyrics, I sing and control some parameters of the orchestration but so many things arrive randomly from BiaB !

Cheers
Pascal

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
