I want to open a midi file in PTP version 8 that has a few measures of 5/4. The 5/4 measures are left blank and I get an error message showing the few time signitures that are recognized.
I would upgrade to a newer version but tech support says that none of the PG products will do this.
This seems like a pretty basic issue.....am I missing something

It's likely more that the otherwise magnificent company PG Music is missing something here. Compound time signature support is on the wishlist for aeons. People are seemingly already getting tired issuing this particular rather basic topic to the wishlist, since PG Music has ignored this request for years by now.
Keep the fingers crossed anyway.

Yes, I have problems with songs that are in more than one time signature. It doesn't even have to be something exotic like 5/4!

RealBand and PowerTracks do support time signature changes via the 'Meters Map'. Yet this info message is outright anachronistic ->
