Poor Mac
Got posted before he was done and then is working with old tape to mp3 as source..

Actually it was from cassette tracks that had been "bounced" back and forth several times, then to VHS tape, then to CD, then to wma, then to mp3 on Switch converter, which is obviously not a good one. ( Mac has since advised me about Audacity and it's converter.)

I didn't give Mac a very good canvas to paint on, but I'm very pleased with what he did.

If I ever start playing again and recording, this one will be in the first 5 or 10 I record. I've written about 40 or 50 songs. Some are pretty good, some are ok, others just mainly have sentimental value to me. Oh yea,..........some are bad. LOL.

Funny thing is, one of my best friends who was playing with me on the radio program I posted a few weeks ago told me he was just listening to some of these old songs of mine and his favorite was one that I think of as bad! LOL.

I plan on trying find the VHS tape, (I mastered from the cassette to a VHS since I had a high quality 6 head machine), then borrow a VHS player and convert to a stereo wave file on Sonar or RB.

Hi Bob,Mac has improved it but you really should get it on BIAB the song deserves another chance.Dont knock your voice I love it.. as a Brit try as we might we just cant get that authentic American vowel sound which comes through in your song naturally. Cheers Frankie PS you sound about late 20s how old were you when you did this?

Bob. Either way it sounded good. I listened to both versions. Mac is spot on when he says it is what it is. Without being able to get to the original tracks there's not a whole lot you can do with this .. other than wreck it. Mac did a great job on it. If I were you I'd let people know on your site that Mac did the remastering. I doubt I would have tried this one. Now if I had Melodyne ... maybe.

Frankie,

Thanks again Frankie. If I ever record it again, all I’ll probably use from BIAB is drums. I’ll play the rest myself. And you’re right, I was in my late twenties. Oh, to be young again.

Russell,

I agree on giving Mac credit on the site. If Mac or someone else will tell me his last name, I’ll gladly give credit where credit is due. I’m very pleased with what he did.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
