This is a nice feature that will play a soft version of the style on first and last chorus, and a more busy variation in the middle choruses.

BUT....

What if you want the soft variation for the first TWO choruses?

I've never figured out how to achieve this.

It would be very nice on a song like All Blues, not to kick into the busy variation on chorus 2.

thanks in advance

Uncheck this option in Song Settings, and then set your own preferences:

Hi, thanks!
yes unchecking the option was easy but where to set your own preferences?

the variation is caused by part markers - blue for a style and green for b style. easiest option is unfold the song to one long chorus and set the blueand green part markers where you want the a and b styles to play.

Yes, for total control of your song unfold it. Virtually all of my songs in BiaB are done with the number of choruses set at 1, i.e. all unfolded.

When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

interesting and thanks. not quite what i was hoping for.

for a song like "all blues" i like to enter just the 12 bars and then set number of choruses. I can see how copy/pasting the chords multiple times and having a single chorus gives more control, but the drawback is a very long chord sheet with lots of duplication.

would be nice to have some possibility to define when "middle choruses" begin and end instead.

Enter 24 bars as the length of each chorus?

You don't need to copy and paste - just unfold. Yes you'll get a longer chord sheet but you'll get what you want playing. Look in the manual for the unfold command - I'm not at my music pc at the moment. Can't think of any other way to get what you want.

Try it with repeats rather than Choruses.

wow, the repeats might be just what I want.

so in theory, for all blues, as an example:

- Enter 12 chords into the chord sheet
- Set 2x repeat (need to check how to do this)
- Set 4 choruses

Check "vary for middle choruses". Should result in 8 repetitions with following variations.

AA BB BB AA

Will put this to the test later, thanks for the suggestion.

that worked nicely thanks!
i resisted the unfold option because I want to export video files of the song, and only want to see the 12 bars in the video.
