That's a great tune! Love the way you used the instruments esp. the resonator. Great vocals and good story. Makes me feel like I know the "two young kids".

Wow, this genre and style fit your vocals so well! This checks all the boxes for what makes a song listenable to me: well-written lyrics, quick to the chorus, great lift to the chorus, a bridge with a different melody and message.

I'm late on the party, but I have to admit to all the posters wrote to you about this song: beautifull song!
I love a loyt of things in it, like the melody and the lyrics, but I enjoyed that bass in the silences of the song.
Very well done.
So what's more to say you don't know or have read here?
Well..., maybe one thing; I think the song is not produced so loud. I think some other songs of you are louder.
Or is this just imagination?

Like Nigel, I'm a bit late getting around to listening to this . . . but glad I stopped in as it was a pleasure to listen to it. Really balanced production. Love those strings in the opening. The piano throughout is full and rick and adds such nice depth to the tune. Terrific write and vocal. Outstanding county tune!
