Werte Musikkollegen!
Cantaloupe Island, ein wichtiger Jazz- und Übungsklassiker, lebt von der dominanten Bassfigur, oder auch des Pianovamps vom Komponisten Hancock.
Ich kann bereits: schreiben der Basslinie, via "Not´n".
Jedoch noch wichtiger: wie kopiere ich dieses Bass-Muster und übertrage dieses (copy & paste) in die nächsten Takte, bzw. transponiere dann von F > Db?
Bei einigen Jazzstandards machen gerade Bassfiguren den Groove aus...
Bin für jeden Tip sehr dankbar!

und willkommen im Forum!
Bei Fragen ans Forum ist es immer hilfreich, auch mitanzugeben, mit welcher Version von Band in a Box du arbeitest (Mac, Windows, 2023, 2022, 2021 oder eine frühere Programmversion).
Du kannst in der Melodie- und in der Soloist-Spur Noten frei setzen, allerdings gilt das nur, wenn die Sur von dir mit einem MIDI-Instrument belegt wird, also kein Realtrack ist. Ich vermute, dass du den Unterschied zwischen diesen beiden Spurtypen schon kennst.
Du müsstest also Deine Basslinie in der Melodie oder Solistenspur setzen (in den 5 ersten Spuren kannst du zwar Noten setzen, die werden dann aber gleich wieder gelöscht, wobald du mit deinem gewählten Style den Song erzeugst).
Du setzt also im editierbaren Notationsmodus die in deinem Fall eintaktige Basslinie zum Beispiel in den ersten Takt der Solistenspur gleich nach dem Einzähler die Noten F C Eb und F.
Nun markierst du im Notationsmodus die Noten des ersten Taktes, in dem du mit der Maus alle Noten auswählst, so dass sie negativ hinterlegt sind. Dann klickst du Strg-C. Im nun aufploppenden Fenster kannst du noch einmal kontrollieren, ob alles richtig ist (Welche Strophe, welcher Takt, wiviel Schläge etc., sollen in die Zwischenablage). Nu bewege die gelbe Positionslinie mit den Pfeiltasten auf die erste gestrichelte Linie des zweiten Taktes und drückst dann Strg-V zum Einfügen. Hier kannst du gleich angeben X-mal zu kopieren.
Das gleichzeitige Transponieren nach Db beim Kopieren funktioniert leider nicht ganz so gut, wie es gedacht ist. Dafür gibt es zwar den Menupunkt "Bearbeiten – Kopieren Spezial – Kopieren von ... bis ...", allerdings wird dort immer zum nächstliegenden Ton transponiert, in diesem Fall wird also dein Basslinie nach unten statt nach oben transponiert. Gut wäre es, könnte man hier exakter angeben, ob nach oben oder unten transponiert werden soll (ggf. auch mehr als eine Oktave). Werde ich mal beim Entwicklerteam weiterleiten, das hat mir an einer anderen Stelle auch schon mal gefehlt.
Du kommst also nicht darum deinen Groove hier noch einmal in Db händisch einzugeben (und dann ggf. wieder in die nächsten Takte zu kopieren).
Man muss letztlich konstatieren: Band in a Box ist kein Notensatzprogramm.

Hallo, liebe(r) Brille!
Beim Mitlesen habe ich dich bereits, als ausgewiesenen Experten entdeckt, welche Ehre für mich! DANKE Meister! - Ich habe bereits, irgendwie, eine Version "Cantaloupe Island" gebastelt...
Nein, ganz ehrlich, ich kenne den Unterschied zw. Midi vs. Realtrack nicht! Ich weiß, ja, ne...!
Ich verwende BIAB 2011.5 (328), immer auf die Schnelle, Jazzstandards harmonisiert, und fertig!
Ich möchte nun aber, wg. neuem PC (Windows 11, 16 GB/1 TB SSD), Sound Bose Companion 2, Serie III, endlich eine zeitgemäße Version installieren. Eben 2023!
Zu meinem Werk: Canataloupe Island. Style: *FUNK_SEV EV 16 100 Funk Seventies
Eingabe Bassline:
> Strg-W (Notationsfenster) > "B" > "Notendisplay änderbar" > im Bassschlüssel eingegeben
Habe mehrere Probleme, Amsicht: "Einzähler" > 4 Takte, danach kein weiter, bei Seite ab, > letzter Takt, Seite auf: Takt 5... zurück (Strg-W) auf Songansicht, weiter auf Db7, > Notationsansicht, usw.
also, echt mühsam, aber durchgezogen! In Db7, hohe Oktave nicht mehr sichtbar (keine Hilfslinien n. oben!) Zwischendurch immer "einfrieren" (Tipp aus Tutorialvideo "mossite").
Danke für deine Kopier-Empfehlung, probiere ich umgehend aus!

Musikalische Grüße aus Österreich, Günther Falls ich Dein Problem richtig verstanden habe (Du willst den Bass andere Noten spielen lassen?) geht das mit der "/" Notation, also z.B. "E/G" (der Bass spielt dann ein 'G', der Rest spielt 'E').

Hallo Brille!
Danke, für deine Tipps! Leider kann ich keine Noten "markieren", d.h. anklicken, markieren, "hinterlegen" o.ä.! Wenn:
>linke Maustaste: "Diese Aktion wird eine Note einfügen, die eine andere Note mit gleichem Wert überlappt! Fortsetzen?"
>rechte MT, da kommt eine Menüleiste > Note editieren / lösche Note ... etc.
Ich verweise nochmals auf meine Version: 2011.5! hatte BIAB das damals noch nicht?

Tatsächlich möglich, dass das damals noch nicht so funktionierte. Das kann ich (mangels einer alten Programmversion) nicht mehr nachvollziehen. Hast du denn mal ind er Onlinehilfe oder im Handbuch nachgeschaut?

Danke Brille! Tja, das mit der Version (2011.5...), wird wohl eine Rolle spielen!
Habe mir gerade die Online-Hilfe angeschaut: z.B. "scrub" > funktioniert bei mir auch nicht, z. B.!
Handbuch? Ist das irgendwo vorhanden? Ich würde ja sofort auf die aktuelle Version updaten, wenn meine Anforderung erklärt, bzw. erfüllt würde.
Gibt es da Experten von BIAB/PG Music, die einem da konkret helfen können? Es gibt sooo viele Möglichkeiten herum zu basteln, meine Anforderung sollte doch in der Weiterentwicklung auf- bzw. angefallen sein?! Schließlich sind die Leidenschaftsjazzer eine beträchtliche Zielgruppe?!
Und wir benötigen halt in so vielen Songs, z. B., eine vorgegebene Basslinie (>Cantaloupe...).
Und die Eingabe derselben ist ja grundsätzlich möglich! Wäre ausreichend, Basspattern bleiben eh meistens gleich. Kopieren, usw.!

Wenn deine Anforderung darin besteht, eigene Basslinien einzugeben, dann geht das natürlich bestens mit der aktuellen Version. Du mutest einfach die Bassspur und gibst in einer der Utility-Spuren deine Basslinie ein, Note für Note, und kopieren geht da auch. Ich mach das laufend. Im Zweifel kannst du das Upgrade kaufen und innerhalb 30 Tagen auch wieder zurückgeben, solltest du nicht zufrieden sein (du wirst zufrieden sein ;-)

Ein Handbuch wird bei der Installation üblicherweise als PDF mitgeliefert. Handbücher stellt PGMusic auch hier zur Verfügung-> https://www.pgmusic.com/manuals/index.htmIndividuelle Basslinien oder Cantaloupe Pianovamps können bei Biab 2011 in die Melodie- bzw. Solospur gelegt werden. Die aktuelle Version von Biab stellt eine Vielzahl von zusätzlichen Spuren für solche Zwecke zur Verfügung. Ein Upgrade ist auf jeden Fall sinnvoll.
