Hi All,
I wrote this song on Sunday the 7th of February 2010 (so you can see it is indeed up to date )
The song is about reflecting on a friend who you regarded as a soul mate.

You can listen here: Reflections

Let me know your thoughts on it please.

Best regards
michee

Sounds very nice! Not muddled at all, and the instruments are very clear.
On my system, your voice sounds like it could come forward a bit (or the instruments could drop back)

Did you do anything special to clarify the instruments, or is that the Real instruments straight out of the box? The instruments are a good match for the song. Everything fit well.

Your voice is very Roy Orbison-ish.... and at one or two points in the song, you also sounded like John Lennon in IMAGINE

Hi Pat,

I have taken your advice and brought the voice forward. Take a listen and see if you approve

I just created the song in BiaB then saved the tracks as individual wav files. Just BiaB default settings (you can't get better than the professionals )

I then imported the files into RealBand, set the tracks as per the sound i.e. Acoustic Guitar to track category Pick/Pluck - Acoustic guitar etc.. etc..

Tweaked the volumes and Pan then recorded me singing a few times, fiddled with the singing to adjust/remix and there you have it.

Thank you for your nice comments.
Best regards
michee

Michee has got talent YAY
I like the song, 'specially one so new
to my ears it needs a few harmonies but I think, tho', you did enough yesterday!!
otherwise excellent.
Did you write the words first or did they come 'cos of the chord structure??

Hi Gibson, Thanks for listening.

I agree that it could use some harmonies in there but I couldn't get them to sound human so I just used me.

I always write the chord structure first - using my guitar, then it seems the melody just appears (a lot of humming La La La etc..) then some words just seem to fit.

I then transfer to BiaB and select the most appropriate style (lots of styles used to find one that works) and wallah, new song.

Best regards
michee

WOW you're on the net early too
I could never do a song in a day as I get stuck on searching through the 1000 styles + in BIAB and end up writing new songs instead.
Keep up the good work.

All I can say is WOW!

DON’T change a thing, as it is perfect as is IMHO.

This went straight to my keeper folder.

Sounds great. Very clean. I'm just the opposite of Pat I think the vocal needs to come down a tad. The instruments are fine. But it sounds OK as it is. Just my preference.
