I became aware of the new Chatbot ChatGPT from Open AI on another thread from Joanne Cooper on here (Thanks Joanne) If anyone wants to try it, you do have to have an account, but its an easy sign up process. https://chat.openai.com/chatI am looking at this as a helpful tool in getting ideas or creating lyrics though the big downside is as far as I am aware, any content created is the the property of Open AI, so if you have a hit, maybe get ready for a lawsuit> ( seems this may not be correct see clarification in Mark Hayes post below) Also thinking that this would be a great way for Biab to go over the coming years as it does have a lot of automatic creation features such as the Melodist etc. If Biab had a feature where the Lyrics were generated by CHatGPT, maybe in future The Melodist could write a melody to those lyrics and then pick a style with a choice of vocal synths to sing the song. I think would be a fun creation but the technology is maybe not too far away. I know we all want to write songs from scratch, but the above might be a fun thing to do for some people. Yep I am having lots of fun with it here trying to trick it up, eg say the alphabet backwards skipping a letter, but it has got it right. I think from my point of view anyways as yours may differ, its ability to generate lyrics is outstanding and in lots of cases are very usable. "write a song about Musiclover who can't sing and cant write a song" Verse 1: Musiclover's got a heart that beats for rhythm and sound, He's got a passion for melodies, but there's something he's found, He can't sing a note, and he can't write a song, But still, he feels the music, and he wants to belong. Not to worry, ChatGPT has reconsidered and we can have a Trump song after all. IMO this is marginally better than the Biden song, which was truly awful.
