A clean enjoyable listen and I love that gliss at 1:05. What was the experiment?

Thanks Eric for checking out the song. Yes that is a pitch shifter (Whammy pedal) preset on the Helix. I have two expression pedals on the Helix internal and external. They can be used for pitch shifting, wah, adjusting parameters on and of the delays, drive pedals etc. Very versatile moduling machine..

Scott,

Nice instrumental tune!
I was surprised that Les Paul could produce such a sound.
Your guitar sounds are always beautiful.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Experimental? Hmmm, like Einstein having a thought-experiment on 2+2, you know your way around the perfect solution. Man, you are quite extraordinary at finding the perfect tone for each piece, and then let it fly with the perfect touch and taste.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Scott...another great piece of music...your craftmanship is impeccable (as usual)...this would be a super track for the right cinema subject...I agree with everyone else about the tone you decided to "experiment" with...always love your stuff...peaceful and mysterious!

Another great one from Mr. Collingwood.
Contemplative is how I would describe this.

Great work.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Scott,
Neat opening. Pretty cool tones you got out of your guitar! Nice fusion between electric and acoustic. Gets a bit saturated around 2:10, but resolves well. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Very nice, Scott! Very cool melody, and love your tone.

Man, I have to get one of those pedals one of these days! Neat sounds indeed.

Very cool guitar sound, especially in the intro. Lovely melody, those large pitch bendings are fun. That low melodic line adds nicely to the mood. Mysterious, ehthereal and beautiful. Very successful experiment.

Very nice Scott. I'd say the experiment was a success. Great tone on that guitar, and sure liked that sound around 1:59, was that a slide and a bend? I thought the entire tune blended together very well. You gotta winner.

Scott, you should experiment more often!
Super chops and exquisite tone...don't you just love those P90s!
This would work well in a movie.

Hi Scott,

I love this melody. And your solos are beautiful. Like those slidings into 'heaven' from your guitar.
I haven't any feelings about a Gibson or a Fender when it comes to this kind of solo's. Just love them and that melody I said before!
But, as Mark said, what was your experiment? You didn't give him a proper answer to that. I bet it were those slides into Nirvana...

Have a lovely day, Scott,
Hans

That’s smooth, hypnotic and cinematic Scott.

We especially enjoyed the piano with your guitar.

Enjoyed it!
