Although RealTracks sound the best, there are often times I need to generate a MIDI or a Super MIDI track for melody and solo of the song.
The advantage of a MIDI track, is the ability to edit notes, and to be played by a different VST of choice.
The question is, if I like the entire MIDI track generated except for a few bars, currently in BiaB, is there a way to partially regenerate only those few bars while keep the remaining bars unchanged?
BiaB has four types of track.
Green = RealTrack Orange = Audio Track Blue = Super MIDI Track Yellow = Legacy MIDI Track
Partial RealDrums and Midi is coming.... For now if you have a spare track just use that to generate the same track and copy n paste to the original track, or using another instance highlight the bars in the chord sheet then drag export the midi into the first instance of Biab that has that section notes deleted then set it to "Merge" and set the bar number to import to allowing 2 bars.
After reading Musocity's suggestions, I'm still a little bit confused.

The answer is yes and yes. But not with the windows shortcuts. You need to use Copy and Paste Menu selections. Also in preferences set the "Allow multiple instances...".
After that you are on your own.

I am going to go out on a limb and say Neither of these items can be done. Or perhaps in all my years I have just never had a need to do these.

All were good questions, however, this one actually stumped me the most. There have been a lot of changes over the years. So I tried it. Using Alt F8 or F8, only RTs can be regenerate. This feature apparently does not apply to Midi or SMTs content.

There's a convoluted way but not too bad if only for a few bars. Open part in piano roll. Select the notes you want to keep and make them playable. Create mute regions over the notes you want to keep. Regenerate track.
