Terrific country tune . . . skillfully sung, arranged and produced. Love the touch on the harmonies/BGVs . . . perfectly balanced. But, as excellent as every aspect of this is, it’s the write that slays on this one. Masterfully written! Excellent listen!

Excellent opening with the pedal. The whole band is just perfect and perfectly placed in the masterful mix. Love the build to the chorus. Every one of your songs starts with a great idea --something that needs to be said (even if it was said before, no one says it as well as you do), then you develop it around a catchy hook to grab your listener, and keep it superbly stocked with fine musicians. The cherry on top is your radio-ready & relatable voice. Always a pleasure, Floyd.

Nice traditional country music. The low end was kinda lite but that doesn't matter since it's a case of personal taste.

Yep ... just like my radio dialed itself back to 1979, and George Strait released a new one. I thought the bass line could have been upped just a bit. Regardless, it was a great listen. As is everyone else, I'm always in awe of how casual and effortless your songs always sound.

Hey Floyd! Just wanted to say that I listened to your new song and it's seriously amazing! It's got all the right elements to make it a hit on the radio. Honestly, it's just as good as anything I hear on country radio these days and I could totally see other artists grabbing this for themselves.
Your lyrics are super relatable and the tune is catchy - I can't stop humming it! Your vocals, production, and mix are all top-notch as usual.

This is what I wish modern country radio was playing these days! Great job, Floyd, as usual. It checks all the right boxes for what makes a great song IMHO: great vocals; intriguing, well-placed hook; great production; time-honored structure!

I've missed this VOICE. Masterful writing, too. When floyd jane is on top form, very, very few can ever meet (or come close, even, to) that standard. And this is definitely one of those top level songs. And the way you know just how to narrate a song ... wow. We could all learn so much from you. Hats off. James - you are quite kind. Thanks. This harkens back to the Country music I last enjoyed in the 80's! That's not a knock in any way! That's a fresh sound again to my ears! Love the tempo, fits the phrasing of the lines so well! I enjoyed how well you worked that pedal steel in there without anything sounding "off". I always struggle with that! The vocal is great as are the tight harmonies! You prove with every post that you are at the top of the mountain around here and have the chops to be a major Country star, and that's a fact!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
