I'm using version 2018. I am trying to add a bass line using the notation window. I select the bass icon which switched the entry mode to bass notes and enter the line in the notation window. When you hit Play+ it renders whatever chords have been entered but wipes off all the new bass notes and replaces them with the standard auto bass notes that accompany the chords during play back. It doesn't save my entries either. Is there a reason why it is doing this?

To save your modifications you must freeze the track before hitting play or regenerate otherwise, as you found out, your changes will be eliminated.

It's obvious to those of us who have grown up with BIAB - its just how BIAB works so it's something the manual wouldn't cover. These days BIAB presents new users with a very steep learning curve. Please don't be put off - if you have queries please ask advice here. Experts like Mario are only too pleased to help.
