I like to know how many people have been having problems with band in a box from day one.
Hi George, and welcome to the forum. My 'day one' was thirty years ago. Almost any problem I might have is easily solved by one of many routes: educating myself, experimenting, finding another way to do something, getting help here from fellow users, or getting help from PG Music by one of several means of Support (see the Support tab, above). And if there is a problem that those choices cannot solve, I'm a small part of the solution, having served briefly as a consultant and a very long time as a beta tester.
Tell us some detail on what your concern is.
ps Your only other post was a good one.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
At present, i am using 2023 biab. The 2022 version had lots of problem. It was like really bad and email support was horrible. The person handling my issues didn't even read my problems correctly and gave me incorrect solutions. I pretty much know the basics but when I create a bridge and the chords I selected are not the playing correctly. Jerry said, the developing team is looking into it. In addition , I am using logic pro as a daw on my MacBook pro. Now the daw version of band in a box is not working at all. According to Jerry, the developing team is looking into the matter as well. . He states that logic pro has some compatibility issues. It was working before but now it isn't working within the daw. So now I am waiting and waiting and waiting. What the hey is going on with pgmusic band in a box? I seem to be the one that finds bugs over and over again. You would think i would be awarded something for all the problems I come across. Last, I keep getting someone on the phone which is constantly giving me bad solutions and false information, and I have to keep repeating myself over and over again. As a result, I am not getting any work done and it is very frustrating
Thanks for more information. Now I suggest you make a post in the BIAB for Mac forum and describe your problem(s) in detail. There are users here with skills although I’m not going to wade in to a thread involving Macs.
Is your difficulty primarily with the plug-in?

1. I won't be able to help you since I am a PC user and am not at all familiar with the MAC version of BIAB.
2. Be careful of accusing someone at a job of using drugs, even if they are legal. You are opening them up to possibly severe consequences at their place of employment and that could possibly open you up to legal problems coming back to haunt you. Keep the conversations neutral and stick to the problem(s) you are having.

BIAB2025 Windows 10 Pro WA6NCB No Longer on a Crappy Laptop!
My first day was in the late 1980s or early 1990s.
I bought BiaB on floppy disk, put the disk into my Atari/ST and it just worked.
I've seen it progress from a very simple 3 instrument MIDI style auto accompaniment app with 24 styles and no user styles to the beautiful monster of an app it is today.
As programs get bigger with more and more features, there are bound to be various bugs introduced. This happens with just about everybody, Windows OS, Apple OS, Office Apps, and right on down the line.
Things can test perfectly in the lab, using various computers loaded with various other apps. Beta testers expand that, but there is no way it can be tested with the zillions of different computers out there with the variety of apps installed on them.
Since I make part of my living using BiaB, I usually wait until March or so to get the Windows version. By then, most of the major bugs have been found.
Over the decades that I've enjoyed Band-in-a-Box, I've had fewer than a dozen issues that I needed tech help with. PG Music tech help has always been there for me.
Even better, there were a few times when my BiaB aftermarket style customer required help, and the problem turned out to be a PG Music one. PG Music help came to the rescue every time.
Of the software companies that I deal with, PG Music ranks among the very best.
In addition , I am using logic pro as a daw on my MacBook pro. Now the daw version of band in a box is not working at all.
This bug should be fixed in DAW plugin build 5.5.2, which is included with the build 705 update. On your Mac hard drive, go to /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components. Click on "Band-in-a-Box DAW AU Plugin.component", and press Commnand+I (get info). Can you confirm that it does say build 5.5.2 there?
It should be passing AU validation. Can you find the BiaB plugin in the Plugin Manager in Logic settings, and click Reset and Rescan?
States version 5.4.7. The problem with the daw version of bias is that this is a response to me trying to open biab : Tip:'/Applications/Band-in-a-box/Drums/' is not valid folder, but does not contain common RealDrums like JazzBrushes'. Make sure the correct folder is set in File->Preferences-> Folder Location. Jerry looked at this and viewed the paths and locations of file. All paths are in blue color so there isn't any others errors. When trying to generate my file titled 'Come Rock Me I get this message. There is a problem with your folder paths. Reset them manually in file ->Preferences.
I have big sur. Logic pro x is version 10.7.4. I myself have followed your instructions. it rescan however to no avail. Still have the same problem. I am looking to upgrade my Mac is, however, my MacBook pro is a 2015. I need to use a patch to upgrade to ventura. I made a back up but scare i might screw things up even worse. Never did this upgrade before. If things go wrong how do i restore backup?

I'm assuming you are using the older version 5.4.7 intentionally, because later builds are failing validation in Logic? Is that correct?
Did you previously try loading Logic with build 5.5.2? I suggest that you (re)install the build 705 update patch so that you have build 5.5.2, and then try running Logic again. At that point, if Logic's validation fails, do the reset/rescan I mentioned earlier. If that STILL doesn't fix it then we need to determine what's causing the validation to fail - there may info in a log file. In the mean-time, why don't you try manually enabling the plugin. In the Logic plugin manager, click Show All, and then check the "Use" box to the right of the Biab plugin.
Let us know how that goes.

I wouldn't suggest jumping into an upgrade that could be complicated just for the purpose of solving this specific problem. It may or may not solve it. If you want to upgrade in general because you like Ventura, that is a different story, but we can't advise on the specifics of backing up your computer etc.
I'm a Windows user too so can't comment on the Mac version but just about every problem I've had over many, many years has been user error! One or two bugs but I started on BIAB when it was floppy discs so from day 1 it's been a great way to make music. The 2023 version is vastly more capable than the version I started with but as I've grown up with the program I have an advantage over people who are trying to get to grips with the steep learning curve of the 2023 version.
And what experience I've had of live chat support has been great.
