"Preferences > Folder Locations > Path for Saved Tracks"

Whenever I change here to a different folder which exists, e.g. "D:\SavedTracks", the next time I open preferences it is changed to the default folder "C:\bb\BBPlugin\SavedTracks"

It's not dramatic, but I think it's a bug.

Greetings

I think this 'bug' has always been there, annoying when you want all your DAW project files in one folder including the saved tracks. Having to reset the preference each time starting a session is annoying.

GeryGuitar,

What plug-in version are you using? What version of Cubase? What computer operating system?

Hi Gery, in my testing it is working as expected. I can change the folder path using the Select... button and it persists after I close the dialog/and or plugin. Is that not working for you? Where is your custom "SavedTracks" folder located?

1) change the path to "D:\Cubase Instruments\bb\SavedTracks"
2) close the VST
3) reopen VST -> path is set to default "C:\bb\BBPlugin\SavedTracks"

Meanwhile I found out that this behaviour only occurs when the new path is empty.
The VST then even deletes the empty path!

Gerry,

Try using D:\bb\Saved Tracks as the path for saved tracks. The program has an expectation that Band-in-a-Box is located under a drives' root directory, in your case "D".

In the past users experienced similar issues by placing the Band-in-a-Box directory under the Windows sub directory "Program Files", for example X:\Program Files\bb.

The Band-in-a-Box directory and it's associated sub directories should be under a drives' root directory. Like X:\bb or X:\RealTracks

Hi,
Seems to be working as expected with me now just a couple of things in case you haven't tried already.
When I save the VST plugin song with the new SavedTracks path set it does open again with the correct path.
Also when I save the whole DAW project with the VST plugin on a track then re-open the project the SavedTracks path is correct.
The path can be set anywhere and does not need to be in a BB folder.
I am using Mixcraft Pro 9 as my DAW will try Cubase later.
Regards
Brian
