Hey All, After endless issues using BIAB 2010 on Windows 7 Pro, I decided to go back to XP Pro on a dedicated BIAB machine. I am now running on a 100% fresh install of Windows XP SP3, with BIAB installed on my HDD (with drums/tracks on the usb) Once BIAB was all installed, updated and patched etc with the latest, I decided to install my Native Instruments Bandstand software and wouldnt ya know it... it's not working. Are there any plans to update BIAB 2010 for compatibility with Bandstand? The other midi instrument options pale in comparison, so i'd love to get a fix. Thanks, Star Adrael

I'm running BIAB 2010 along with bandstand here with no problems. In my case it wasn't a fresh install, I installed 2010 over the previous version of BIAB that already had bandstand working. If I recall there were some tricks I had to do back when I installed bandstand in the first place in order for it to work with BIAB, and I'm sure I got the info from a FAQ on this site, I can try and find it for you if you like.

Hello Star, First, make sure you are selecting the VSTi plugin. You will need to click Add/Remove VSTi plugin in the DX/VST window. "<VSTi> Bandstand" should appear at the bottom of your list. Second, look in the Bandstand Technical Notes folder (in the Band-in-a-Box folder). There is a file there called Asstsettings.ini. Copying this file into your bb folder should help with playback/rendering in general - when you have some time, you can look at the PDF help in that folder to learn how to adjust the settings in the asstsettings.ini file. Tried everything... just doesn't work It wants to, the midis are being sent, but no sound Bandstand has been discontinued as well, so native Instruments are no help. Just have to use the Coyote Forte DXi for now

Star, you can't just post something like this "After endless issues using BIAB 2010 on Windows 7 Pro..." and then ask for help. What endless issues, what exactly have you tried, how exactly is your system set up? What exactly is the computer specs, the soundcard, what's in the midi devices menu, the audio setup window, all of that stuff. People have been using Win 7 and Biab 2010 with no problems at all. Do a forum search using Win 7 as a keyword and read all about it. Same thing for Bandstand. People have been using Bandstand just fine too although it does require a bit of tweaking.
Don't just say "tried everything, just doesn't work" The only response that gets is "do you want some cheese with that whine?"
Details, details, details to allow a dialog to begin. This is the friendliest and most helpful forum on the web but we can't help you without some basic info.
