After many years of hesitation, a few days ago I just bought the $99 Pro version of BIAB. I am a guitarist and I thought BIAB would be great as quick and easy way to build a backing band.
My question is, I would like to have a Backing Band sound something like on the song "Comfortable Numb". Has anyone already found a style and instrument setup to best do this?
Joanne sells her offerings for a very reasonable charge. And regarding the PRO version, it is generally considered a limited selection. Drop Joanne a few quid (or whatever) and give it a try.
If you post this in one of the help forums here you will likely get a lot of responses.

Thanks all. I am considering the upgrade but right now I am having alot of fun with _CROK12H.
I am not sure if I am allowed but this was my first attempt at a song with BIAB. Took me about 12 hours with the cakewalk plugin. I can happily delete it if I am not allowed. https://jademann4.wixsite.com/thebluegalaxy/media
One quick question, what does the short red horizontal line mean in the blue rectangle? I believe the blue and green rectangle tells BIAB to play a variation is that correct?
Take that question to the new AI Help. Ask the question in a couple different ways and it should work for you. If not, let us know and someone will help you the old fashion way.
Jademann, Very good first time Showcase tune post. It is appropriate and encouraged.
P.S. Showcase is mainly for posting music made in part or whole with Band in a Box. Optionally you can ask for critique/opinions on that particular composition. Mix, lyrics, etc. from users.
As it was mentioned, ask software technical stuff on the main forum. (Band-in-a-Box for Windows or Mac). BIAB is not an easy software, but good news is, there a lot of knowledgeable people here that will point you in the right direction. Also, that new PG AI chat that Dan above recommended might be useful.
I have to much to learn about part markers, default white, blue and green. Also "The red underline means that there's a Bar Settings change at that bar, which could be a tempo change, style change, volume change, etc. You can get to Bar Settings by right-clicking in the bar and selecting Bar Settings, or by hitting F5."
