When in Notation Mode and Lead Sheet Mode, make sure you select what track you want displayed. The correct track is accessed by clicking on the textbox shown on the image below.
One thing I wondered is whether you can have lyrics on a non-default Melody track?
I've actually overwritten the default Melody track with a solo instrument, so I've imported midi into a Utility track and tried to put lyrics there. The lyrics are present but I can't trace which track they have gone against!
As for the note-based lyrics, as far as I'm aware they only show up on either the Melody or the Soloist track.
Did you put the soloist instrument on the Melody track or is it part of the style? If it's part of the style, it's not easily removed. If the soloist track is free, though, you could import your MIDI there and add lyrics to that. If you added the soloist to the Melody track, I suggest that you move it to a Utility track so that the Melody track is free.
When the soloist on the Melody track over-wrote the MIDI notes, it wouldn't have deleted the lyrics. They should still be present and able to be viewed on both the Soloist track and the Melody track.
Yes, I had to delete the RealTrack from the Melody track and then import midi again. Now the lyric printing works and this version is purely for printing the arrangement so it doesn't matter so much.
There's a few other glitches if PG are listening such as Notation Options not remembering the Chord Vertical positions on saving nor any Text in Utility tracks when transposing. Time consuming to keep re-adding but at least BIAB looks pretty good when preparing band charts.
Thanks Noel, not sure where the Resolved option is? (Edit: Found it!)
It would be nice to be able to copy Notation Text (e.g. universal section labels and also to manually add repeat symbols when trying to keep printing down to one page charts etc. ☺
I had four Utility tracks for Tpt, Alto, Tnr and Gtr imported from midi so they were Yellow. At some point a Print Error erased them and the file seems to be corrupted so that all the Utility tracks are now White and wiped.
Luckily I saved each part as a PDF as I went so at least I had the charts for an important event I attended this week.
