Hey Peter Gannon. I've got a question. 2

I'm gonna try this again. I'm asking eddie1261 to not high jack this thread.

All I'm asking is if Peter Gannon would consider paying the fees and creating BIAB arrangements for copyrighted songs. I would gladly pay extra for song packs with professionally done arrangements done by the good folks at PG.

Bob, I would put this request on the wishlist forum. You would get a +1 from me.

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Just an FYI before posting to the wishlist. Maybe adjust the wish to be for a video tutorial showing how it can be done in BIAB because this should work with any song, commercial or original.

According to a post by Andrew on 12-04-2013, this feature has been available in BIAB since the 2013 release...

{-----
7. Artist Performance Files.

These are audio files, that you put on a track, that can also have the MIDI transcription of it. People hear the audio, and see the MIDI in notation/guitar tab etc. For example, if you are a great bluegrass fiddle player, you could put your songs in this format. People can listen to your real playing, see the notes on screen, slow them down etc. - all inside Band-in-a-Box where they can do other things like solo/mute other tracks, mix them etc. " }

Wow! That was simple wasn't it? Especially without unrelated comments sending the topic out into totally unrelated areas that had nothing to do with the question at hand.

LOL

Jeff,

I agree. It would generate additional revenue for PG by selling "Song Packs" and potentially increase sales of BIAB.

Thanks Matt. I was simply asking a question and wanted to see what Peter thought about the suggestion.

I'm glad he's willing to look into it. I thank you for your support once again.

Bob that is a great idea. I probably have maybe 200 “in the style of” files i they are very useful, but also take a lot of work to be useable.

I don’t mind a song being in a slightly and even sometimes very different style because that is my take on it. But usually you need a signature lick, bass line, or something that identifies the song. Some folks say to use a midi track but i never seem to make those sound rel enough to fit in the mix.

I suggested this way back when utility tracks came out and even uploaded an example SGU with all the individual instrument tracks and a video of the performance of a well know song.
I made another also from a https://www.karaoke-version.com/ multitrack demo Sunny Side I think it had a lyrics video also.
I think I suggested PG doing a deal with karaoke-version.com

BangAGongSGU.mp4

..
All PG would need to do is add the chords and the lyrics then the users mutes the instrument or vocal they want to do:

I have about 110 songs from Jamzone. Multitrack backing tracks that I may do some stem removal from a few of them
