Here is a picture I took "up close and personnel" with a Guitar Celebrity. Unfortunely for me, she seems to be a bit annoyed by my camera. grin I guess I didn't fully understand the whole selfy-thing with taking the picture over my shoulder.

Any one have other examples?

Of course you would recognize Jennifer Batten. But what, You dont't consider her a celebrity? Cause I don't have much better than that. grin

B or C list maybe. Adjacent to celebrity. People coming to see Michael Jackson didn't care that she was his guitar player. Kind of like a "the other guy in Wham" situation. Or "Oates, Garfunkle and Messina".

I always wanted to see a bunch of "adjacent to" players get together and start a band called "Second Bananas".

Our band was playing with a very big name country artist at the time.... backstage we got to hang out a bit not only with him and his band.... I had a camera... this was before the digital camera.... so it was 35mm film. I had not checked to be sure the film was advancing properly when I loaded a fresh roll into the camera before the gig (rookie mistake when I should have known better) .... so I got nothing.... And from what would have been some absolutely amazing close up shots.

No photo but I met her several times - where I worked was a lady who was best friends with Patricia Neal ("The Day the Earth Stood Still" as well as other films actress.) Pat would call and stop in on a pretty regular basis. The two ladies grew up together.

It was kind of fun having a substitute person manning the phones excitedly say "You will never know who just called??!!!!"

Ok, let me try again. This guy has been a huge influence on my music. By the way, that is me on the left along with the one and only David Wallimann - Guitarist extraordinaire.
