I was hoping I could import songs that I have written and composed & add an instrument or two to the song, but I guess that's expecting too much from biab? The instruments never match up with the song...I don't know if it's possible or if I'm missing something. Anyone been successful doing this. In biab or realband?

what are you importing? if its a wav or mp3 you can import into RB and then use the Automatic chord facility to work out the chords. there are videos to halp you do that. then once the chords are entered you can add individual RTs, midi traks or super midi tracks.
its easy in RB - you'll see all the available tracks laid out. i'm not sure what you are doing in BIAB but i bet BIAB is trying to add a style to your song which won't match.
if you do it in RB, all you will have is an audio track of your song, a chord track to guide the new instruments and loads of blank tracks for you to add instruments.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, we need more detail to be able to help.
How are you importing the songs you wrote? Is your 'match up' problem the choice of instruments, the timing of the playing, the style of the playing, or ...?

What are you starting with? If you have a project in a DAW, it is probably easier to think about it the other way - add Band-in-a-Box tracks TO your project, and there are a number of ways you could go about that. If you ignore for the moment having to sync your song up with BiaB tracks, are you able to simply enter the chords for your song into Band-in-a-Box?
