I am a newbie and I have a problem when changing style in the middle of a song. The style denomination well changes in the appropriate box when expected to do so, but the sound remains unchanged.
For information, my version of BiaB is the 2023 Pro version for Windows.
To change the style, I followed the well detailed instruction given in a Youtube video by "BandinaBoxBackingTracks7108".
In my case, the first 12 Bars are in a Bluegrass style: _BGBDBS8 Fast Bluegrass Eights 260 Banjo Solo, I reduced the Tempo from 260 to 230. At Bar 13, I made a style change for the rest of the song: _BLUGRF8 Classic Bluegrass 8ths 260 Fif. I also reduced the tempo to 230.
Again, the name of the style effectively changes at Bar 13 but I keep the same sound.
All the tracks are unfrozen, I checked it.
About "What add-ons ...", I am sorry but I don't know what to look at. This is confusing.
I loaded the Demo Song for style: _BGBDBS, set the tempo to 230,
Then at bar 13 I pressed Function Key <F5>, and loaded the other style _BLUGRF8, and other settings as seen in the first screen capture below.
The song played OK and changed the style correctly at bar 13 as can be seen in the second screen capture, below, which was captured while the song was playing.
The Style changed correctly for me every time at bar 13.

I followed exactly your very clear explanation and now I am finally obtaining what I was looking for. When I started discovering BiaB, I must have done several errors. This program is excellent but it has so many parameters that it can be confusing at the beginning.
Please consider to open your original post and mark it as 'Resolved' (there's a button for that). This can assist others in future who may have a similar issue.
