There is no possibility that future BIAB will have an AI chord progression capability.
I now have some common chord progressions under my thumb. But sometimes it might be better to have a guide, or a cue, and then combine that with my feelings.
For example, if I input a C, F, then the AI will make me choose C, it may make me choose G, it may make me choose Fm, and so on.
Or you can give me some common chord progressions, give me some hints.

There is no possibility that future BIAB will have an AI chord progression capability. I'm not sure if that is a statement or a question? You could ask ChatGPT to suggest some chords for a song. I think it can do this (I haven't tried myself), but the results might be less than stellar.

You could have BIAB scan and give you the chord progressions from other songs, and/or you can generate chords using Melodist or using other methods.
But if you wanted AI to help you, you could ask ChatGTP (as AudioTrack suggested above) to give you some HIT SONG progressions starting in C (or whatever key you want) and it could give you several options to try out.
As for BIAB, it might be nice to have a section built-into the interface which helps to construct chord progressions with suggestions using common progression themes from different genres, etc.

There are so many other apps which do this so very well, why do we need BIAB to do everything. I own two of them and BIAB will never be able to touch what they do. I would rather see BIAB excel at those features which only it does.

I'm not invested in it either way, but BIAB has tried (and succeeded) in being a terrific resources for all sorts of music learning and inspiration, aside from it's main purpose in helping us to compose great sounding songs. Since great chord progressions are key component in appealing songs, there's nothing wrong with a little focus on some helpful tools to inspire better chord progressions or to suggest ways to improve a progression, particularly since AI assistants are now becoming available to assist the creative process in so many ways.
Sure, BIAB doesn't need to have such an addition, but chord progression assistance is not a direction that would subtract in any way from the spirit of the software and it's purpose. The program already does some cool stuff with chords. No reason not to consider continuing to develop other tools and resources that could be useful to some musicians when composing in the program.
I think it would be neat to have BIAB create a variation on an existing chord progression, using smart analysis to try a similar variation version where it might prolong certain chords or shorten the timing of others and try slightly different transitions, breaks, or alternate progressions in sections that may be too similar. You could click on the "IMPROVE MY PROGRESSION" button and BIAB would try making a few logical changes and then regenerating the song so you can listen to hear if you like any of the alterations.
It ain't a bad idea. Neither is it necessary. There are all sorts of different things that could be thought up to help users write better or more interesting songs. Not needed, and neither unwelcome if things like that showed up one day.
Again, that isn't a big request from me, and I didn't even give it any real thought until my responses to this thread this morning.
But thinking up some inventive new ways that might help with chord progressions is not like asking for BIAB to create it's own music videos or invent it's own album covers. Anything related to songwriting and music production is always potentially useful as long as it doesn't break something else.
