Cool video! I remember Velvet Underground from the mid-60s, and I can hear somewhat of a resemblance. I'm not familiar with King Crimson, whom David also referenced.
Nice mix of more than a few tracks! Terrific bass line, too. You have an uncanny knack for putting your touch on some good music from the past. Very nicely done!
That's super cool, and everything sounds great! Couldn't take my eyes off the (sometimes) masked guitarist/bassist in the background. Loved the whole thing. Will have to look up the earlier version for reference...

Very interesting song and video. I couldn't hear all the details of the lyrics, so maybe you can put them in a post or so? Because with your songs lyrics are very important. Still I heard a lot. I wanted to say your vocals now are 'glued' in the mix, so a lot of progress on that issue, but then I read David did that...
Your video is great to watch! And I liked the reflections in the sunglasses, beside all other things I liked in it. Good piece of work. One minor thing: you once told me not to end in minor every sentence (going low) amnd now you are doing it yourself! But all together, a very interesting song, as I said at the start of this post.

Thank you Al. I'm an huge fan of the Velvets - particularly when Cale was in the band yet my favourite album doesn't have him ...Velvet Underground with Lou Reed Live 1969...is a wonderful place to spend an hours or so.

Thanks Ron, After starting the video editing it became obvious that my face & demeanour didn't suit the song so smiley & other masks made me fit little better.

Ta Hans, this was written over a decade ago and I didn't attempt to rewrite it according to what I've learnt since. I was tempted but was afraid I'd kill off what was good about it...I also knew Terry would adjust things if he felt the cadence & cascade were wrong. The lyrics are dark and slightly buried as fits the style.

Ear Worm! A 6-minute listen that stays with you for hours. Mesmerizing. Video is cool, creepy, fun. That will be stuck in my head for days.... fj
Thank you Floyd, I wish I could remember/find the TV program that inspired this song. A dark tale of sexual abuse under the cover of the Battle of Britain and the "War Effort".

Fantastic sound! Tracing the vocal melody with guitar chords is very effective. I think British rock groups in the 1960s often used similar techniques. Your chord progression this time was easy for me to listen to, and the video was very cool. Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.
I often finding myself quoting you, Ray. Here I'll quote David Snyder and Floyd Jane first.
Then there's me... Superbly creative, Ray. I really enjoy Terry's vocal. Strong musicianship throughout. Yes, David, VU with KC. Ray, you bring it all together so well. I love the bass line --as usual. I heard this song at least 3 times, and it never seemed like 6 minutes. Counting the almost minute-long fade. Good one!!
Enjoy whatever happens! marty

Guy Smiley, the man of a thousand faces on rhythm guitar! Cool video. Reminiscent of early MTV videos. Song mix sounds really good with the adjustments.

Thanks Marty, The bass line was the last thing locked in as I couldn't work out what to play for the A2 -> Am part of the verse. Then I realized - K.I.S.S. and was sorted.
