Well I went and found another interesting thing. I was experimenting with changing parts of a song. So at the start of the second verse I right clicked on the part and it came up with "define c-d". I know these are typically used in the multi style songs but I figured I would select c for grins. So after select c--it gave me the style list. So I selected a different style for that part--thinking this would be a cool way to change up song. It looked like it kept the change but when I played the song that part did not change. So is it because you really cannot add that c type part--or did I do something wrong? Or is it just me that comes up with this stuff? Lol. Thanks ahead of time,

Hello Roger,
If you have defined a C/D substyle, you can switch to it at any bar by putting in a 'purple' (C) or 'brown' (D) partmarker, or by control-clicking on the bar number and selecting it from the menu. Note that style changes only work with MIDI tracks, not RealTracks.

Hi Andrew,
Well I kind of am confused again. Lol. You mention that the c/d subsets only work with midi stuff not realtracks, yet when I use the a or b part markers it definitely works on the whole song. The drums change--basically everything. So why would c or d be different? And is ther a way to change the drum styles for different parts?

C/D is different because the C/D parts are effectively the same as loading a different style. Multi-Styles are just a list of individual styles, each of which has an A/B part. When you use Multi-Styles, the first style in the list is A/B, the second is C/D, the third is E/F, etc. So once you get to C/D, you are actually loading a new style file (in the background); however, RealTracks don't respond to new styles loaded. They only work with the first style, and that includes the A/B part markers. Selecting C/D is effectively the same as pressing F5 and loading a different style file at that point. When you do that, RealTracks don't respond to that change.
Maybe one day we'll have that ability, but for now we don't. It's a limitation of the program currently.

Thanks--that makes sense. I did notice that there are a few "multi style" styles if you will--I might try those. We'll see. Thanks again
