I'm finding that extending notes, moving them to overlap, etc., in Piano Roll makes the MIDI sax notes sound a bit more real. I'm thinking if I could PitchBend a note into the next one, it could really help the phrasing to sound more like a sax. How do I pitch bend a note up, into the next note overlapped? If I use PitchBend, it will bend the target note, too. Can I PitchBend the first note without bending the 2nd note? So the the bent note is unison with the 2nd note?

You can have the note bends on another track then send both tracks to the same instrument. In Reaper you can overlap the piano roll tracks to see easier.

Depends a bit on the Sax synth you are using. If the synth allows Portamento then use that option and set the Portamento time to be realistic. Some synths allow for actual legato which is the best option. If you are using Kontakt and have the full version of Kontakt there is a script already in there that allows one to simulate legato.
The other way is to create a modulation lane for Pitch in your midi piano roll and very carefully draw in the pitch movements so that they end a the correct level for the next note (either half step or full step to arrive at the note). You might need to set the Pitch Wheel options to cover for more than a tone.
Just some thoughts

Tony's pitch bend suggestion is the best. Set your pitch wheel option to the amount of half steps between both notes. Play the first note and while keeping the note ringing move the pitch bend up and you will slur into the next note.

I'm not using a standalone synth. I'm using piano roll to create pitch bends, and it's not intuitive. I don't have a pitch wheel.

What Piano Roll or DAW are you using? Most piano rolls allow the creation of modulation lanes at the bottom of the piano roll. It is usually possible to set a modulation lane to work on the pitch bend (in a similar way to a pitch wheel but you draw it in). Usually the pitch bend modulation lane is set as if the pitch is in the middle of the note. It is the possible to go up or down off the centre line to bend the pitch to where you want. When I say get to where you want this also depends on how you have your “pitch bend” settings set for the synth you are using.
Usually at the bottom of the piano roll there is a lane showing note velocity it is here where you change the option to pitch bend. It is normally possible to set many lanes to adjust many parameters for MIDI notes.

We're in the BIAB For Windows forum, so I'm using Piano Roll in BIAB 2024. I'm trying to get a better idea of how to use this tool in BIAB for grace note bends that are smooth.

You can have the note bends on another track then send both tracks to the same instrument. In Reaper you can overlap the piano roll tracks to see easier. How do I do this in BIAB? I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to draw in the pitch bend to the correct note. Then the target note is on a different track, but the sent to the same instrument? I'd like to see a tutorial or video of this feature.
