Hi.

Currently I can mute Master and after doing so I can export a MIDI file that contains only the 'BB Output Chords' track. This is a very useful capability!

Unf. when doing a batch export on a whole directory, the loading of each file undoes the setting of mute Master and thus it is currently not possible to do a bulk export of files where 'BB Output Chords' is the only track in each file.

Probably the easiest way to approach this would be to add a new checkbox to the 'Batch Create MIDI Files in a Folder' dialog: "Export BB Output Chords Only".

Thanks!

You could script it in Reaper to open all SGU MGU in a folder and create a midi file with block chords and chord name markers from just reading the Chords without the need for BB Chord Output.

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

Hello.

I would like to know if this issue was addressed in the new BIAB 2025.

Thanks.

I would actually put in in 3 places.
A) Right click on track >Track actions>Save Chord track as midi file
B) general Midi File save options, a the tick of saving just Chord Track(s)
C) instead of Audio export as we have now, I would name it Project export and have Midi options there, including just exporting Chord track(s) as separate files.

You likely know that there are 2 types of Chord tracks? One is Active, that will pick up changes made to chord sheet and one is Static - it will create block chords based on current chord sheet, but will not automatically update itself. Both are important . I guess the most convenient way would be to do a right click on a particular track and save Chord track from there. As you can have 2 or more chord tracks with different modifications.

BTW, I emailed PG Music support to ask if a working Batch Export of BB Output Chords has been implemented in BIAB 2025.

Unfortunately, it has not.

Here's hoping an update in the near future will remedy that!

If you have the midi chord track on the same track in each SGU you can solo it and it will just save the the midi chord track with the SGU file name.
To use the Biab Midi Batch convert you will need to save all SGU with the midi chord track soloed, you could get AutoHotkey to do this.

It depends on how soon you need this, if you don't want to wait a year or more or never for PG then it is something that can be looked at.

I did make an AHK script to batch save all the Midi RealChart Drums to files.

Thanks for the suggested alternate approach.

Of course, the goal is not to have to visit each file one-by-one to get this set up.

To achieve that goal will, I think, require PG Music to put the needed operation into the progam.

As a development item, it probably wouldn't be that difficult to implement. I'm hoping this has merely been "lost in the shuffle" and can be added to an interim release.

Ok...
We have 3 types of chord tracks.
1 - the most basic without key switches
2 - Now you can preserve keyswitches for particular VSTs
3 - Static Chord track. The one you can generate on track level, but
which is on different track from the one specified in properies.
This one will generate chord sheet once, but will not pick up new changes
automatically.

Each of these has its own benefits. When I export project MIDI, I usually end up with
At least 2 chord. Tracks.

I think the most reasonable solution is to be able to save Chord Track on the mixer
track level-right click. Just as we can save tracks as individual Wav files through mixer menu.

Wrt. BIAB 2026 for Windows - I had a Live Chat where this was investigated and it is currently still not possible to do a bulk export of files where 'BB Output Chords' is the only track in each file.

I asked that this request be passed over to Development and the rep agreed to mention it.

I hope the "bump" does some good!
