Another quick question. If I enter notes from a keyboard into biab it will copy literally anything I play. So if I play a c major chord it will enter c,e,g into the melody at that point. I have not found out how to duplicate that by manually entering notes. Is there a way? It would be nice if you want to spruce up an area of a melody if you could enter multiple notes for a couple of bars without having to try and record from a keyboard that would be easy. Anyone ever try that?

You can do that in the notation editor, just hit the "N" button and click on the staff lines where you want the notes. You can click a C, E, and G at the same vertical dotted line to make a chord. Hopefully this helps.

Hi Jay,

I must be doing something wrong. If I go into the notation part, whenever I click on a line it just moves the existing note up or down to that line. I'm trying to add multiple notes at that point.

If you click the "N" button again you should see a vertical dotted line for each beat in the measure. Then you can right click on the staff line to make a new note. At least that's how it works here on my system. I think if you click on an existing note it will move it IIRC (it's been a while, I'll have to try it out tonight).

Hi JAy,

Tried it again--no luck. I can enter one note no problem, and make it a flat or sharp or move it anywhere around, but cannot enter multiple notes on the same line.

Wow, I just tried again and it works here.
Are you on the melody track ?
That's where I just tested and it worked on my setup.
Just curious are you using an Apple mouse ?
Not that it should matter, but you never know.

I don't know about the Mac Version, but in the Windows version, on the notation windows there is a checkbox called Mono. If that box is checked, then you can only put one note at any one spot (no chords). If you uncheck the Mono box, then you can enter multiple notes at the same spot (to create chords).

Doh !
You're absolutely right.
Never even noticed it, and never have used it.
But there it is.

Hi Jford,

You got it. I looked at that stupid "mono" button for months and never used it. LOL. Thanks a ton. This board is awesome
