I wrote these two songs when I played in a rockband in the -80s in Sweden. Now about 40 years later I felt it was fun to do new versions, translated to English and I had a female singer, Sofi Berro, from Argentina to sing along with me.

BIAB:
Eyes Like Fire
I used _Proxy.sty that have a 90s rock sound, tempo 135 and the amazing drummer is Pat Steward who played a lot with Bryan Adams. I love that energy in his play style.
After putting all files into Logic Pro I recorded several tracks of Guitars, Bass, and the short Keyboard Intro/Outro. So the only thing I kept from BIAB was the Drums.
Then I did the singing and sent a mix to Sofi Berro in Argentina who did a sing file and sent back. Then Mastering and up to all digital platforms using RouteNote.

Noah
I picked _Explode.sty that have a pretty cool energy sound, tempo 125. I used Chord setting "hold, except drums" several times. I chord setting I find very useful.
In Logic I kept Drums, Bass, String Quartet, and Synth from BIAB played the Guitars, a Big Saw Bass and Vocals.
Then same procedure with Sofi Berro and up to Spotify, YouTube etc.

This was a fun project because I wrote the songs about 40 years ago and the somehow belong together in 80s rock style and the lyrics.

For those who managed to read all the way here.... Have a lovely day!! smile And Band in a Box is truly an amazing program despite some crashes. lol

EYES: Good one, Sören. Vocals are good, but my ears want them louder than the guitar. I can imagine this in the 80s. This is an interesting version, and I like the lyrics.

NOAH: Driving song, and I like how you worked the drums. You and SOfi sing perfect together. All nicely done.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi, Soren!

Eyes Like Fire: Nice pop rocker! Love the modulations between sections. Vocals are very cool, like them a lot.

Noah: Well, this is another fine rocker! Again, the vocals are quite nice.

You have a real talent for backing track and vocal arrangement, and packing a lot of musical action into a sub 3:00 minute tune. Enjoyed listening to all of the songs you posted.

Just a thought, but you may want to break your songs into individual posts to get more listens and responses.

Soren, Eyes Like Fire is a fantastic pop song.
Outstanding guitar and bass playing.
I think the vocals could be a tad louder.
Sofi has a great voice.

Noah has a super groove.
Great work on those Realtracks.
You two sing well together.

I liked both songs.

You have a cool sound there. Nailed that 80's rock groove. Next time, make sure the vocals are setting on top of the music or at least higher in the mix to understand what they are saying. Post the lyrics to the songs so it's easier to hear what's being said. Lots of reverb and low in the mix makes it really hard to understand. I went back to listen closely.... I could get a word here and there in places. Back off the reverb significantly, and push the volume up.

You might want to consider , as someone else mentioned, limit the post to ONE song so people can focus more closely on a particular song and direct all comments to that one.

HI, Sören

Eyes: What prior posters already said - nice pop. I'd move the vocals higher in the mix. Good work on the guitars.

Noah: See above. Pleasant pop, but the vocals are a bit distant in the mix.

I also agree with DC Ron - it's better to post your songs one at a time.

I enjoyed listening to both songs! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Neat songs. I particularly like "Eyes". Really liked the guitar and bass, but I'm with the others as far as bringing the vocals up front a little more. I can certainly hear the 80s influence in your music, though I think they both would sound good with a more modern sound as well. I liked that guitar outro on Noah. I wish it would have lasted longer.

Soren,
Both tunes are done well. Would be fun to hear originals to compare. I liked Eyes Like Fire more. Thank you for sharing.
