I am taking part in FAWM again this year and I thought some of you may be interested in my process on this one. Breezy Daydreams It was in response to a challenge to write a song from a Lana Del Rey Title Generator https://www.vfiles.com/ldrgenerator. I chose "Breezy Daydream" because there was some pretty dark stuff there! I used https://www.lyriclab.net/ to help generate the lyrical idea. This FAWM I vow to work on manipulating the basic idea created by LyricLab into something less generic. I then used Band-in-a-Box to help work through the musical bed and melody. I didn’t spend too much time on the arrangement because, well you know FAWM😀 I then recorded my vocal, put it through Melodyne, removed the breath noises and then used https://create.musicfy.lol to create an AI vocal that I hoped sounded a little LDRísh. I put the AI vocal through Nectar. I used RealBand to create some harmonies of my vocals. I used Melodyne to create a MIDI track of my vocal and used that to create the string part in the instrumental break (this could have been better if I could remember how to use Dimension Pro). I have to say that I do prefer the vocals that https://create.musicfy.lol gives me over my own. Hi, Joanne! Fair warning, had to Google FAWM and Lana Del Ray, so filter my comments with that in mind.
This is a really nice tune! Very well constructed, and the vocals do sound quite lovely. The mix is just about right to my ears. I'd agree that the instrumental break could be a bit more dynamic and/or creative, but cool how you were able to construct the lead line with your MIDI-ized vocal tracks.
Final thought: From listening to a few Lana Del Ray tunes (for the first time, see warning above), most of what I heard is darker and edgier than this happy tune.
THANKS for posting and sharing your process in detail. Sounds like you are maximizing the tools available, and achieving some cool results. Thanks for pioneering all of this stuff!

You did a pretty good job on this, Joanne.
Is that an AI vocal? It sounds a little rigid and harsh but it get's the idea across.
