Thanks so much for the helpful comments and suggestions for improvements to the original mix. Here is the remixed version which I've edited using Audacity. Most of the changes are from 2:30 onwards. Some of the backing instruments have either been lowered in volume or removed, and the Rhodes piano has less reverb and more volume which brings it more to the fore. Finally, the thunderclap effect is louder and therefore more dramatic.

I haven't listened to the original song, but I think this is a tasteful instrumental with some really cool guitar playing. Good tone as well. Would work well as a movie score, e.g. in a Quentin Tarantino film.
