I Didn't Do It on Soundcloud I Didn't Do It on YouTube I read a lot and have been into law stuff lately, and one sentence I read a lot is, “I didn't do it.” This could also work as Bart Simpson's theme song. Surely if the prosecution had the video, he'd be found guilty. Style is _BASIN.STY (Basin Reso Delta Blues w Shaker) RealTracks in style: ~577:Guitar, Resophonic, Rhythm Blues Crossroads Ev 085 RealTracks in style: 2677:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm BluesStraightBrent Ev 085 Loop in Song: Loops PAK 1\World\Drums, Percussion, DjembeTambourineA-B Ev16 085.wav RealDrums in Song: DancehallClassicWesPerc^01-SQ,SS RealDrums in style:ShakerEven8ths: a: Shaker b: ShakerEven8ths Dave Bell ( Blue Attitude) played his new guitar with the Piezo pickups on this one. I sang and played bass. After Dave heard how cool the BiaB guys were, he decided just to do a solo, and he matched them so well. A great listener makes a better player. I Didn't Do ItI didn't do it. I didn't cause that. I wouldn't lie to you. No one can prove it. I'm innocent. So what's a guy to do? They'll hang me anyway. I know the law. The judge is gonna say that that's the last straw. But I didn't do it. I don't know how. I'm not that kind of joe. She put me to it. I didn't know how far that she would go. My hands were tied that day. She held the cards. So I shouldn't pay for what lies in her yard. She was the one who rented that car. She tried to take it way too far. She didn't say what all would occur. I cannot lie for her. I didn't do it. I hope you know that. I wouldn't know how to act. Please don't pursue it. It's not my fault that opposites attract. She didn't tell me that the thing was goin' down. It really isn't like it sounds cuz I-I didn't do it. I-- A D A E7 V-- A D A E7 A D B7 E7 D7 A D E E. BR-- A A D D7 B7 B7 E7-F7 E7.

Marty,
This sounds awesome! Another spectacular production with you and Dave.
I love the arrangement and particularly your vocal. Sounds like you’re channeling a bit of Levon Helm.
Wonderful music.

Howey Marty.... I dig this. Cool topic and you expressed it well in the lyrics. Vox deliverance is good too along with great playing by Blue.
I enjoyed the listen. Well done!

Yes, there is some Levon Helm in here! And as much as you guys say you didn't do it, I can tell instantly from the sound that you did!!!! Great job.

Yep, you DEFINTITELY did it. Produced another great song, that is. Wow, this sounds positively sparkly for an acoustic blues. Really nice choice of instruments and mixing job. The bass and guitar sound great, of course. Super vocals, too. Nice one, Marty and Dave!

Very cool tune Marty and Dave! Marty, this sounds a little different than your usual work but you pulled it off nicely! Great vocal and seeing your inspiration coming from your current interests inspires me! Man that guitar solo from Dave really sounds great! You mentioned the piezo pickup, so I'm assuming this was an electric guitar ( Godin perhaps?) Anyway, it sounds amazing! Excellent! Thanks, TB

Well, those guitarists... whenever they have a new toy, they start shredding.... Cool song, as I wrote over at YT, I like the fact that it's even bluesier than you normal blues, for whatever 'normal' is. But, Marty, you are guilty by unanimous consent (just look at all the comments). You did it! BTW, Dave, your guitar sounds really good, but I think that's more down to the player than the instrument. I can make ANY guitar sound bad

Marty...one thing's for sure..."you did it" and there's no denying it....you (and Dave) created another fresh, interesting and fun song...I love the style of this one (acoustic based)....you're certainly right about Dave's seamless lead...it sounds like he sat down in the studio and played with the BiaB guys...I'm constantly amazed at the volume and quality of your lyrical skillset...sometimes I listen to the wit and cadence of your lyrics and think of Roger Miller...so good!

Marty, you and Dave did an outstanding job on this one. Dave, super chops as usual. Marty, great bass and vocals as usual. Super mix. Loved it.

Hi, Marty. A story that gets more and more sordid as it goes along... Good job with the vocals, and excellent work on the guitar by Dave. Fun listen!

Excellent song, thanks for the invite, Marty! Loved the video.
Thanks to everyone that mentioned my little part.
Torrey, I actually own two Godin guitars, one of which has a piezo PUP. For this song however I used my Fender Acoustasonic Tele, strung with acoustic guitar strings.

Bob Thanks, Bob. That's a big compliment. Howey Marty.... I dig this. Cool topic and you expressed it well in the lyrics. Vox deliverance is good too along with great playing by Blue.
I enjoyed the listen. Well done! Hey, Wayne. Thanks. This one might have been a prequel to Don't Tell The Judge I lied. hehe Yes, there is some Levon Helm in here! And as much as you guys say you didn't do it, I can tell instantly from the sound that you did!!!! Great job. Thanks, David. I like that. Instead of switching the blame, switch the definitition of "it." Yep, you DEFINTITELY did it. Produced another great song, that is. Wow, this sounds positively sparkly for an acoustic blues. Really nice choice of instruments and mixing job. The bass and guitar sound great, of course. Super vocals, too. Nice one, Marty and Dave! Thanks, Ron. Yeah, I like the mix of the acoustic and resonator, and then Dave comes in with all the special icing for the cake.

Hi Marty.
Another fine creation to add to your prolific catalogue of compositions. You've done a great job. Your unfolding story kept me interested all the way through (and made me smile a few times, too)! The arrangement, your performance, Dave's performance, and your production sat extremely comfortably in my headphones.
Very enjoyable listening 💛 --Noel

I love that high note...reminds me of Cocker & You Are So Beautiful. Very cool BIAB band and Dave REALLY fitted in sonically & stylistically while dropping a fab solo with a matching high note. The bass is round, rollin' and right on the spot. Loved it...yet again.

Multi talented. Singer Songwriter and Youtube creator. Thanks, gman. Much appreciated. Welcome to the forum. Very cool tune Marty and Dave! Man that guitar solo from Dave really sounds great! You mentioned the piezo pickup, so I'm assuming this was an electric guitar ( Godin perhaps?) Anyway, it sounds amazing! Excellent! Thanks, TB Thanks so much, Torrey. Dave answers your Godin question below. I can make ANY guitar sound bad Ha. Thanks, Brain. Dave shreds swell on his old guitars, too. AH, thanks, Dan. Roger that. I like his easy, talkin'-to-ya singing. Glad you hear how cool Dave's solo is, how he took what was being played at the end of the solo and imitated it on a higher level, then finished with an harmonic. Very cool.
