I have a few hundred MIDI files in RB and use MS Word for lyrics on my PC monitor in a split screen fashion. I'd like to simplify my setup and use RB only. I read about time-based lyrics but don't understand how to input these into RB. Are time-based lyrics something that already exists that I can download and drop in RB? I don't really need for chords to be included, like the program ChordPro does ( https://www.chordpro.org/chordpro/index.html ) as I am MIDI only and RB does each instrument by itself on each track. But it would be nice to have scrolling lyrics in RB but the thought of having to parse the lyrics using the event processor seems daunting at best. Heck if I could just the lyrics to show up at all, scrolling or not, that would be a big help. Any thoughts on how to add these? Jeff

im not exactly sure what you want and im not at my recording rig right now...but ill investigate further for you today if i know exactly your needs. for example ideally are you saying you would like to import a lyrics file and see the lyrics displayed on the rb tracks view timeline ??
fyi ive been asking for a special lyrics track in rb...but in the interim i use rb scrolling lyrics view minimised.
i also display big clock same ie you can size both lyric view and big clock to your taste. so as the tracks play both move along.
please see rb manual for more info to save me a ton of typing.
also NOTE...rb displays chords along the timeline.
if your interested see in the tips forum my tips on doing neat things in rb
which im adding to over time.
ps...im not a notation expert but re lyrics see manual re lyrics for further info.
cos i dont lay out songs useing notation...but there are lots of neat notation tricks and features in rb if i remember from the manual.

Couldn't find any way to enter lyrics in RB except to use the event editor and to it by time. Extremely tedious and time consuming at best. Found a free program called LivePrompter that at least lets me convert lyrics to text files and then have them shown along side RB. Using that program, I can vary the font size, scroll lyrics automatically either by time (slow or fast) or song measures...doesn't seem to be a way to scroll by tempo. But at least it's a start. you can also enter lyrics in rb notation view by pressing L.
but yours is a volume conversion issue...
what should rb convert ? only ms word ?
