Consider "DAW integration" section of the forum. Many times topics about particular DAW(s) get mixed in with unrelated threads. Perhaps with a dedicated section people will find help they need/want and ideas are shared with groups who are interested in particular DAWs.

Thanks, that’s a good idea. Maybe we could make a few DAW specific forums, for popular daws like

Reaper
Pro tools
Presonus
Sonar

Logic (mac)
Garage Band(Mac)
Other DAWS

Peter,
while posting this, it was meant to get a particular point across, however I did think about this in the past. I believe it would be hard to maintain threads of all DAWs. There might be a solution if it's structured like this:
A forum section titled "DAW integration" or something like that. Initial thread would require inputting a tag for: BIAB /Plugin (year?), DAW: 1234 System: Windows / Mac.
That way particular setup could be easily located without huge DAW list in the root. As a bonus tutorial stickies can be added at the top. I believe you have several DAW related videos. Not sure if it's doable, but it's an idea.

Wouldn’t a user of DAW BrandX like to only be in a . Forum of BrandX?

That is true. However your main products require many root topics too. Meaning that if you had only smaller plugins as main products (reverb, compressor, etc.) a full list of DAWs would be beneficial as the goal would be to help people adopt these particular plugins to their DAWs... as that would be mainly the place they would use them. But both of your main programs can be used by themselves as a stand alone.

Alternate idea is to have ~8-10 most popular DAWs and add others if demand rises.

Regardless how/if it will be done, thank you for acknowledgement.

There is still ZERO understanding about REAPER post ?????
It is RDS at it's best ! can't see the forest because of the trees.
They can't see the big picture no matter how hard they try.
Like many derangement syndromes they are by divine design to bring exposure.

What is described in the original post is spamming and should not be permited by the forum software. The proposed solution will just worsen the practice.

Only one post per individual should be allowed unless or until a second individual responds to the original post.

Hi Peter,
This may be a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway. Is there a way where in the forum you can have a folder sub-folder type hierarchy? For instance a heading called DAW within that heading have a thread for Sonar, another for Reaper, ETC. The same would work for the FAQ threads and other threads as well like a Window or a Mac heading.

I ask because we have a lot of forums now. I know you can set things up so you can see only a few but I like to scan most of he forums because I have learned a lot by doing so.

YMMV

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

Mario,
It’s a good question, and I hope it’s possible, but I’ll need to ask Andrew about that.

I would like to see a dedicated DAW section for Reaper. That way I could avoid it and its content altogether. I don't use Reaper.

Guys, you are avoiding the whole situation and putting your heads in the sand, ignoring it, denial, hoping it will go away.
Biab has been stuck in the past, there needs to be big changes not the same old drawn-out crap that's been going on year in year out, it doesn't work and never has.

I don't use Reaper either. A separate section would be wonderful so I could avoid the thread.

Thank you!

No. Not true at all. That's not what I am avoiding.

I believe we have too many forums now. It takes too much time to visit all of them like I used to.

DAW-related questions are handled in the Recording, Mixing,Performance, Production forum. Most questions are generic enough that they are relevant to any DAW and are not dependent on how an individual DAW performs. [I would, however, be willing to see a separate Reaper forum for the non-music reasons stated above.]

Music-related questions that do not involve using PG Music products in the process are handled in the Off-Topic forum.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
