Enchanted Forest

Caution - this starts out very softly but increases in volume fairly quickly.

Enchanted Forest is an experiment with a new toy, Engine Player's Forest Kingdom. Let me know what you think.

Caution - this starts out very softly but increases in volume fairly quickly.

BiaB style: Awaken1 - Slow Mystic New Age
Tempo - 60 BPM

The drums' MIDI are from GrooveMokee, the sound Steven Slates SSD-5
The following are all from Engine Players's Forest Kingdom
1-bass - Forest Dreams 01
2-piano - Forest Dreams 02
3-utility - Forest Dreams 04
4-Strings - Fairly Dust

Utility 2 - the second utility track was sent to EZKeys2 where a compatible track was generated, brought back into my DAW, and a Kontakt, Amadeus, Full string patch was selected.

Via my keyboard controller I am playing the Native American Flutes (Contrabass - Cedar and the bamboo flute) as well as adding the bird sounds, again all from Forest Kingdom.

As always all comments are welcomed.

Mario, just stunningly beautiful. Love the arrangement, harmonic movement and all the little sound textures you've used to tell an interesting musical story. It all just SOUNDS great, too. You should consider scoring for visual media, if you haven't already. Really love what you've done with your new toy!

Mario,

Agree with Ron - "stunningly beautiful"... The flutes have such a cool vocal quality - really amazing.

Mixed to perfection as well. Loved this!

Mario, I absolutely love this!

The pacing,... those gently sweeping chords and evolving textures... It "breathes."

Well done, my friend :-)

Hey Mario,

I want a new toy, too. Do ya have an extra one to throw this way??? Even if you did, I doubt I could create something even one-tenth as beautiful as this.

You make such wonderful music. I love the full, rich sound of this. The entire soundscape is effervescent with wonder, mystery, mind-soothing, and perspicacious (a fancy word I learned when I started writing novels) aura.

Translation - pretty damn good!

Take care,

Alan

Oh, man, I love this, Mario. I say I love everything you do, and it's true. I also say I'd follow you anywhere, and you can surely lead me to this Enchanted Forest you planted, but I may lose you while being distracted by all the magic. Dang, I love those flutes. The strings definitly add mystic mystery and mega magic. A wonderful adventure in music. You are a master craftsman, sir.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx DC Ron. Thus far I am not considering scoring for visual media.

Thanx Alan. I learned a new word today. Last night I was bored I read 6 pages of the dictionary. Now I know next to nothing!

Thanx so much Marty. I'm not a master craftsman. I'm just a guitarist having a ton of fun with MIDI. I started using MIDI in the late 1980s using just a sequencer, i.e. no audio. I just have a little more experience than some.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
