Some years ago, when the VST was first introduced, I played around with it in Ableton and became quite familiar with it. I have now come back to it, still using Ableton. When I load this into a midi track in Ableton, all seems to work fine, but when I select a style I am directed to the style list. After selecting a style and OKing it, the stle does not appear in the plugin. Has something changed that might be preventing this happening?
The VST is 2022 v4.8.13

Most likely you need to rebuild the Stylepicker - there should be a Rebuild button at the bottom, click that and do a Fast rebuild.

That was the first thing I tried. But, I tried again within BiaB and then again, just by way of experimment, from the DAW plugin. No joy though. Look to your DAW. Is the BIAB-VST track muted or is another track soloed?

All tracks enabled. Everything seems to work as before. I'm using BiaB 2022 and assume that is not a problem. I pick a style using 'select' in the top bar and OK in style picker. I do the same with with the style bar and then OK in style picker. But nothing.

I say this as if you purchased some new styles they may not be compatible with BiaB 2022. I know this is a long shot. Is anything running in the background? Sometimes anti-virus, anti-malware, etc can cause problems.
OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Hi Mario,
No, it's not just the styles. If I open a song I can see the message at the bottom of the vst that it's opening the song and then it tells me it's looking for a style and then ... nothing happens.
This is something that I experimented a lot with in the past and then I just continued to work the way I did previously. Everything appears to be up to date.

Try running Ableton as administrator - right click the Ableton shortcut and Run As Administrator (this is different than simply opening the app while logged in as an administrator).

Ableton already runs as administrator to address other shortcomings of working between applications.
