Just crawling back to some normality after a long bout of 'the global bug' - original tune - drums, bass & dobro backing from BB 2024 Mac (Style: Slow Blues Quartet), I added Baritone el guitar, ac guitar & ac slide guitar, rhodes piano:

Carl, that is some fantastic guitar chops.
I love the blues so you know that I would love this one.
You did a great job on mixing this one.
Sounds fantastic.

My wife had her driving test today.
She got 8 out of 10.
The other 2 jumped out of the way!

I like the slow reveal of intro. The bari melody fits perfectly with the well-chosen backing band. A serious case of "blues as it should be."

Cheers,

Brian.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Mario, thanks so much for your very lovely comment - super chuffed you liked my slow blues tune, this Les Paul style guitar was made by an old friend of mine probably in the 1990s! It was later converted to 'baritone' and I converted it to slide with super heavy gauge strings - the funny part is that it was made from a very old mahogany thunderbox seat (yes a toilet seat, so it has seen many bums - not just me) with a birdseye maple top!
And to top it all the guitar was gifted to me by a dear old friend of mine a couple of years ago, so it's a keeper for several reasons!
Been meaning to record it for ages but just not had enough time & puff - glad you approved!

All the best Mario, keep the music going!!

Cheers, Carl

Hi David, many thanks for your 'back & better' comment - glad you approved of my slow blues effort, thanks a lot for listening!!
Fun to keep trying in old age - bug seems to be doing the rounds again, hope you manage to avoid it?

Hi Carl,

Glad to hear you're feeling better. My wife and I have been feeling less than wonderful the past week or so.

You came back with a super song. I really like the simplicity of the soundscape. It's sometimes difficult to be simple yet have a full sound. You did a great job of doing exactly that. You're a talented musician and arranger. I always enjoy your work.

Best to you - stay well.

Alan

Carl, super tune! That slide work sounds sublime. Slithery fun minor blues just never get old, but you also make it sound fresh. Great arrangement and mix, too. Love it!

Two of my loves, Blues and Baritone. So well blended here, Carl. You know I'm a big fan of your taste and touch and your abilty to play comfortably in many styles. Another outstanding example. They say what doesn'y kill ya makes ya stonger, which can easily be refuted, but there is no denying the strength in this compostion and production.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Nice work. And I really like that tremolo guitar.

Thanks a lot Herb for listening and for your nice comment - my love of tremolo is partly down to that tone master Bo Ramsey!

Best regards, Carl
