When I am picking a Style I can audition it and it plays just fine in the Style Picker.

But when I click "OK" to load it into my song and punch Play I get an error message "Real Tracks not found". and the Style/Set number.

How could the style play fine in the Picker but not in the song ? I certainly must have the style since it plays fine in the Picker
wherever it is. Why is this location not imported into the song window ?

How do I fix this and find the missing Real Tracks ?

Bob, as I understand it, the style picker plays back pre-recorded audio files, either from the Internet or if you download them, WMA files from your computer. This previewing doesn't have any relation to the installed RealTracks you have. Take note of the style name and post it here. We may be able to give you the source of it - the year or the bonus pak etc.

Your results could also mean your BIAB program is not correctly pointed to where your RealTracks are, or you have not purchased the necessary version or bonus pak. Let's start with the style name, being careful of the spelling and punctuation used in the name.

BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

(BTW after posting I quickly realized the Style Picker is just auditioning wav files, so perfectly understandable now they might play in the Picker but not when loaded into the Song... DOH).

Here is an example of what isn't found when I pick a style: _SLOWBAL in Style Set 53/742.

Others: _GIRASOL, Style Set 279/2875
_JZPHILD, Style Set 194/2144
_JAZZSWP, Style Set 53/742

I installed my new 2024 BIAB and it shows 2.13 GB of Realtracks. I have several installations of prior BIAB on other drives on my PC, such as 2019 and 2014. And I can find other "Realtracks" folders in various locations/drives. Some of them were individual Styles disks I installed, in addition to things like a MegaPak hard drive.

I have this suspicion that my drive where BIAB 2024 was installed does not contain all the Style Sets in its Realtracks folder, and they may be residing on other drives.

Should I just copy all of these Realtracks folder contents into the Realtracks folder of my most recent BIAB 2024 ?

And how do I check to see where my new BIAB is looking for these Realtracks ? I would assume I can't input several locations where Realtracks reside and where BIAB would be looking for them, correct ?

Bob,
I think you will be going in circles until you do the installation of all the content you have the right way, instead of moving clusters of items you installed over the years. I promise this is the last time I will say it, but the best course of action would be to contact PGM and ask for assistance of doing proper installation of ALL items that you have purchased. Once you have it all, and you run into issues, people will surely help you. But folks on the forum don't know what you bought over the years and how it was installed. PGM would have a much clearer picture.

Understood, and will take your advice. I kept hoping solution was simple- just find all my Realtracks folder and copy content of all to one Realtracks folder- the one created when I did my fresh install of 2024 BIAB to a drive that had nothing else on it.

All the best,
Bob

Bob,
it's not as easy as it sounds... For example you might of purchased styles at one point some years ago, but not the underlaying RT's. Just that will screw things up. File versions from various years too might have impact. That is why it's better to do a clean install of content, apply last BIAB 2014 patch and live happily ever after than try to create a Frankenstein.

P.S. Also, by downloading proper packages with Download Manager will give you a "consolidated" local backup. PGM should be able to tell you what exactly you need to download from your account to make it whole.

The styles are not in the RealTracks folders. Where they are depends on pre or post 2018. Please contact Support.

After moving across any new files, you can try running this utility. It will hopefully locate everything that's needed and collate them all into the new file locations that the application currently uses:

Yes, that utility should be tried, but I don't know how it would help if the files weren't correctly located and copied from the older installations.

Agreed. Anything that was copied, needed to be copied to exactly where earlier versions expected them to be located.

The option immediately below the Cleanup Routine is the Download Manager. That would certainly get everything that was purchased and put everything into the correct location(s). It might be a better way forward.
