A great life lesson, Brad and for me the organ works well and on the intro with the drums it sounds so good.
I really like the mix of all the instruments. There is a lot of energy.

Thanks for stopping by Dave, and it's good to hear from you. Yeah, I've been working at taking a few things out when I get a chance to sit down and work on it. I sure appreciate the feedback.

Thanks Hacker. So far I'm sticking with the banjo. Not the traditional arrangement, but I guess I've always been a little different (meaning weird) anyway!

Glad you stopped by Janice and Bud, and thanks for the encouragement.

Man, that's a nice compliment from someone who consistantly does such good rockers Scott. I'll work on it.

Thanks Bob, it's sure good to hear from you.

Thank you Scott C. I've gotten some good feedback on things to try and make it better. Hopefully I'll be able to pull it off, but even if I don't - ain't this music stuff fun!

Brad

Hi Brad,

I've been away from the forum for several weeks due to my wife's heart attack. She's home and relatively stable. I'm trying to do a little catching up. I'm glad to have come across this one.

Yeah, it's bit busy, but everyone has their own thoughts about putting a song together. The only two things I would suggest if you decide to revisit this, are: 1. The vocal is too far in front of the band for a rock song. 2. I think the fiddle is a bit out of place.

Excellent lyric and song concept. I think a little more high EQ on the drums would help a bit, in addition to what I said above. Great message and a hard driving sound.

Di and I wish the best for your family health issues. And thanks for a touching background narrative. Keep posting, and I'll keep listening.

Alan
