A Day Short of Disaster My goal was just to write a three chord song, but then I couldn't resist adding them there extra chords.  I don't know if this would be considered rock or country or a little of both. Little of both for sure. Heck, a LOT of both is even closer. Super vocals and harmonies/BGVs. Like the down-on-my-luck-but-still-kickin' lyrics. Lots of energy in the band and vocals to push this into a real pleasing overdrive. Super song, no matter how many chords.

Scott, A good Poor-Little-Me song. Sounds like solid 70's Rock to me, with a little shake of Country. Good vocals. Nice mix. Love those little call-an-response BGVs. fj

Cool rock song with the 70's feel. Nice lines like "I can't go down hill any faster". Catchy groove and the band is very tight. The piano is excellent choice, I wish it would be even louder. I would say that "Three chords good, more chords better." Enjoyable vocals and very nice harmonies. Janne

It definitely has a bit of Bonnie Raitt with the slide guitar peeking in and out between the lyrical phrases. Very enjoyable, Scott. I always seem just short of disaster myself, so I really enjoyed the lyrics too.
