Excellent rocker and I love that lead guitar. Great mix.

Country or Rock or any genre worth mentioning would be proud to count this one among their top lists. Very cool. Scott. I really like the vocal, including harmony. Lyrics move this rocker along with a cool bounce provided by the melody you gave them. I know I heard this one before, but it seems I was too blown away to comment then. I've collected myself from the moment short of disaster.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Love the lyric and we can visualize the scenes so well.

“I can’t stop the sky from falling on my head
I can’t go down hill any faster
My mouth don't follow anything I've said
I'm always a dollar late and a day short of disaster”
Great lines.

To our ears it’s a good “southern rock” band sound reminiscent of Blackberry Smoke.
Great vocals and we loved the call backs on the “day short of disaster” line.

Excellent production in all aspects.

Enjoyed it!

Hey Scott,

This is really funny! I think it's pop country if that is a genre. But really, really funny and so well done!

Nice Country Rocker!! Cool lyrics, fun song. Well played, good backing band, very "LIVE" production feel. Good Job!

Excellent stuff Scott. You had me right at the intro and kept me there the whole time! Great writing. Your genre question? It kind of reminds me of that line from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, " Is it folk, rock or country? Seems everybody cares, but us!" It's a cool toe-tappin' song all the way through with great writing. Fantastic vocals as always. I really liked those BGV's you put in.

Ezekiel,

Well, I wasn’t quite expecting that sound out of the gate . . . but loved it. Struck by just how good this vocal is and how well it sits in the mix. Just excellent. Dang, what a cool tune. Love the BGVs as well. Lead guitar has just the right sound for this. Outstanding work!!!!!!

Scott,

I get a nostalgic Bob Seger feeling as I listen. And, in my book, that's one helluva good thing. Great listen. Nicely done! Yeah ... sweet!

Alan

Edit: Would like to have heard the drums a little louder. Just mho.
